How on earth did I know that MMJ was going to be played next as part of this set?  (I don't think I have heard this set before.)

..MMJ is one of my new RP-inspired (thx!) infatuations, so take my 8-rate with that salt grain..

..not their best, by far, but it has upside potential (redundancy intended)..

Yeah...not crazy about the band name...but hey...the song is good. It evokes a definite atmosphere of unsettledness and melody. The cover art reminds me of ELO or something. Not sure why...

Right after your memory starting failing, apparently.

I would refuse to play in a band with the ulta-stupid name

"MY MORNING JACKET"

...just unbelievable!

Just saw MMJ last night in SF and they rocked this song. Trippy coincidence?

Amen. James is singing in a normal voice at last, and the engineer isn't drowning it in reverb. And a fresh approach to songwriting. Adds up.

Sorry, I wish I was as enthusiastic about their newer stuff, but I really liked their older "reverbed" work.  This piece is starting to grow on me.

Saw them on the W. Coast tour this summer. Frickin great band. IMHO...one of the best rock and roll acts out there right now.

Best thing I've heard from these guys is the live album. Their studio work does not thrill me, and Jim James' voice just makes me think a muppet is singing.

Loved Z, really really liked Evil Urges, so far I think this is good but nothing is really jumping out at me as fantastic.  It's disappointing but not surprising.  Z is one of my desert island cds.

Sadly, I find the last couple of MMJ albums have not thrilled me as much as their earlier sound(s).  Hopefully their newer stuff will grow on me.

I bought this CD last week, thanks to RP's airplay. Once again, Jim James does not disappoint.
