It really does grow on one. But a day or 2 ago I heard a track she did with Madruga that was less than inspiring. I shall have to listen to more of Ane before being able to make a personal call on her.

This record "It All Starts with One" (2011) is not likely to reach the massive record sales (as we have seen with many "borracheras" music out there), and do not get a "Grammy Award" to match the commercial success (Grammy Award, a prize sales and commercial success), but undoubtedly leave its indelible mark on music history. It may be the coincidence of being awarded an "Grammy Award" to a musical work that simultaneously recognizes the artistic talent and commercial success on a large scale, but is rarely given an "Grammy Award" by the musical talent and merit, without first achieved commercial success. The first criterion is to reward the profit. Criterion dubious and very questionable. Ane Brun, for me, and i'm sure many more, you are already a Winner. Ane Brunvoll is one of the most original and genuine singers-songwriter I have seen over the past two decades.

As far as "Do You Remember", tremendous percussion. And if you haven't seen it, check out the video for the song. Troubling, beautiful and haunting (though really not much in line with the lyrics - but still worth a view).

"These Days" included on the album It All Starts with One......very Intimate, very intense,  Charming!... Peter Gabriel influence?  In a world as unstable "these days", and devouring mentality, I think it takes courage and determination, able to maintain a course and a vocation, and present a set of songs, a work of this style, with a truly remarkable degree of depth and refinement. Counter cycle. It is not for everyone.  For that reason alone, it deserves special mention. This young lady is an Elected.
Has anyone noticed, on the album cover, which one eye is represented by (ring) the head of a tiger?

"Alfonsina y el mar" is a song made famous by Mercedes Sosa. Alfonsina y el Mar (1969), is a composition of the pianist and composer Argentinian, Ariel Ramirez, produced in collaboration with writer Felix Luna, being one of the most regarded songs in Argentinian folk music, and pays homage to poet Alfonsina Storni, when she died into the sea at La Perla beach in Mar del Plata, and the poem she wrote as a goodbye message, I Am Going to Sleep.

Is surprising the courage and determination of the choice of this song, root as far, by Ane Brun, a woman Nordic, by its deep significance that the same song contains within itself, makes all the difference and is commendable.

Ane Brun
sings in perfect Spanish and she explains that she learned this language to be able to listen to the music, and that this song is her favourite. Simply beautiful. Bravo! Ane, Muchas gracias.

Y fosforecentes caballos marinos haran
Pronto a tu lado.

Di que me he ido...
