| Byronape (Snorkeling in the River Styx) | Posted: Jul 20, 2011 - 02:40 Sounds like commercial country music. I hated it when I was growing up on a farm in the country, don't want to hear it now. |

| Carl (The Summit City) | Posted: Feb 12, 2011 - 10:37 The intro and ongoing backing sounds to me like a tamed down version of Big Brother & the Holding Company's "Combination of the Two." |
| run4more (The cave) | Posted: Sep 07, 2010 - 11:33 New to me, I like it, so I click the Amazon link thinking I'll download the MP3. What comes up is Jody Abboud & the New Song Kids Choir featuring songs such as Amazing Grace and I Praise You Lord. A bit of a jump. All MP3 links give the same result. Oh well, plenty of CD's (the real Damnations TX I presume) under $1.00 if you can wait a week. BTW, thanks RP... living just a couple of hours away from Austin and I didn't have a clue that a) the group existed or b) it was over 10 years old. |

| aly25 (US) | Posted: Jun 08, 2006 - 22:59 Personally speaking, the bass line is okay...but it just kind of creates a very gray picture of nothing in my mind, which makes me bored. |

| missquo (Austin, TX) | Posted: May 25, 2006 - 09:09 Actually at the time of this recording, it was two chicks, two dudes. Good on ya, Bill! Now can we hear Black Widow?? Nothin like a waltz about burglary! Odyzzeuz wrote: It's two chicks and a dude. |

| Baby_M (a 100-year old building in downtown Akron, Ohio) | Posted: May 25, 2006 - 08:50 This is a truly lovely set, Bill: 8:45 am - Damnations TX - Unholy Train 8:41 am - Los Lobos - That Train Don't Stop Here 8:38 am - Phish - Back on the Train 8:35 am - Bo Diddley - You Can't Judge a Book By Looking at the Cover If you'd drop Joe Ely's "Boxcars" in after this, it's perfection! |
