When I was a kid (12) I'd rarely get to hear this entire song, as it was nearly always truncated.  It made my day when a rogue FM station, KWST, would give it all to me.  Thanks RP for giving us the 'goods'.

You can get it on an album called "Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac"  He was a terrific blues man, Clapton's only rival in the British scene of the day.  His use of psychedelics triggered the onset of progressive adult schizophrenia.  About the only thing worse one can get is ALS.

Peter Green - nothing short of genius! Fleetwood Mac became relatively bland without him.

OH, WELL — frickin' awesome timeless blast from the trippy past.  As is often the case, COOL RIFF on the previous song — Road to Rouen — 's tonal progression!  Dig the music, and all its attendant associations, in all dimensions...what RP is all about; and ain't it the BEST?!

"Hypnotized" was FM. Bob Welch released "Sentimental Lady" on his solo album "French Kiss." The song was a big hit as was "Ebony Eyes", "Hot Love, Cold World" and "Carolene." TMI...sorry.

Bob kinda disappeared after that album, dunno why. Last time I checked, you couldn't buy the original version of "Hypnotized" on iTunes or Amazon MP3 store.

The more I hear FM's pre-"Rumours" music, the more the band
interests me.  me.

In defense of everyone who was not an ORIGINAL member of the Mac - this is one band that has experienced numerous changes during its tenure, and has provided excellent music no matter WHO was in the band. They have survived, and now, when anyone says the name "Fleetwood Mac," all manner of "Oh, I remember such-and-such a song by them!" will inevitably emerge. The root of Fleetwood Mac, and its various mutations (or, more accurately, its evolutions) is not something to be generalized. There are definite lines of demarcation in this history, and a true Mac fan can probably name years and albums where the band changed.  I choose to love each album on its own merits, regardless of who was on board at the time.  Coat me in candy and call me a sucker.

Um.....because  neither Lindsey or Stevie were it the band yet?  This is the real FM before they went for the bucks.  Stevie was probably in Middle School (or Elementary?) at this time, which may or may  not mean she was already doing dating Lindsey before they formed Buckingham Nicks, their venture prior to Lindsey joining FM as yet another new guitariist and insisting his girlfriend had to come along as well.

Oh well....

Stevie Nicks was 21 years-old when this album was released - she joined FM about 5 years later.

Great song!  The rest of the album is just as good...
I had "Then Play On" on 8 track and it played over and over and over and over... in my 1964 Dodge... right after Neil Youngs "Everybody Knows This is Nowhere"...

I hate you.  I've tried since 1974 to play nylon strings, and my fingers just won't work. I bleed a lot. I screw up a lot. I wish I could do this, but apparently, I have the wrong fingers for it. I'm a steel-string six-string person, I guess... I envy you your talent. Love this song, but I'll leave it to the experts.
