I don't normally like Chris Isaac's sometimes creepy stuff.  This is the first time my head turned to the screen to find out who was singing this good stuff..
Was surprised to find it was him.

saw him three times live (in Cologne).
Each time he was great - no question!

But what has he turned into...?

Into somebody, who's music is hardly recognizable against the real Chris!

Not on this song, though!
He was still "himself" 10 years ago, when this good album was issued!

Nowadays...?

  Cat Stevens was on the "no fly" list and still came over.I'm not saying he should have been on the list(he shouldn't)but our security sucks.

Saw him live after this album...brilliant.  It was in Townsville.He came out at the start in a discoball dinner suit and announced that in the big cities New York, Paris, ....Townsville everyone really wants to hear all the classics so thats what you're gonna get.  Great performer, very funny guy, and loads of cool music.

Great tune.....just saw his new tv show ... he had Cat Stevens on as a guest.....both of them seemed very genuine and are both gifted artist's, they still sound great!

I think you need to come in outta the cold. Or maybe your stuck inside and need some fresh air. Either way, the guy's got great hair. We should all be so lucky to be as good looking as Chris or have as many women lusting after him. And he's a damn good singer/songwriter as well. I've always liked him but never got the exposure until I visited Paradise.

My all-time fave Chris Isaak song. It rocks, but the lyrics are great. I can just see a browbeat guy sitting there with his head in his hands as his wife/girlfriend hectors him over this or that.

I suppose you're right, he has only really had one big hit with Wicked Game. So what? Is that really how you rate an artist's talent, by how many "hits" he/she's had?? C'mon, you know better than that.

I obviously don't put Isaak in the same category of greatness as say Van Morrison, Dylan, Cohen, etc., mostly because his style is rather one-dimensional. That said, however, you'd be hard-pressed to find a more consistent songwriter than Chris Isaak. I challenge you to go through each of his albums, song by song, and find more than 2 or 3 "duds" in the entire catalogue. Every song is good, every album, time and time again, it's amazing. The guy's a machine. I don't know how he does it. If you don't believe me go see for yourself.

Love this tune. It actually gives you a good idea of how well Chris and co. can rock out. You have to listen to this song LOUD to really appreciate it. Preferably w/ good headphones or in a car with a good sound system. Same with Walk Slow, which if I'm not mistaken follows this track on the album.

I saw Chris in a small club in D.C. circa 1988, just before he got big. It was one of the best live shows I've ever seen. He just exuded power, energy and emotion. I've been a huge fan ever since.
