I keep on dancin'
Dancin'
Nothing left to say
Nothing left to do
I find myself alone
And thinking just of you
You got me dancin'
Dancin'
Why don't you help me?
Why don't you guide me?
Why don't you promise
To stand beside me?
There was a man in a foreign land
In love with a woman that he didn't understand
Love is not a thing you command
Love is something that keeps you, keeps you
Dancin'
Dancin'
Why don't you help me?
Why don't you guide me?
Why don't you promise
To stand beside me?
I keep on dancin'
Dancin'
Nothing left to say
Nothing left to do
I find myself alone
And thinking just of you
You've got me dancin'
Dancin'
Why don't you help me?
Why don't you guide me?
Why don't you promise
To stand beside me?
Dancin'
Dancin'
Dancin'
You've got me
Oh
Help me
Guide me
Why don't you promise
To stand beside me
Help me
Oh

He played the 9:30 club in DC in the late 80's and I touched him as he left the stage for a break, he was all sweaty. He smiled at me, GOD is he good looking!!!!!!!!!! |

Since the first time I first heard Chris Isaak around 1990 I never wanted to dislike him, and never have. He (and his band) are excellent in my opinion. I do prefer the original version of this song, as others have said. But Baja Sessions is a great album. Great summer music. |

Every brain cell I have wants to grow impatined and irritated with his sctick, post sarcastic comments and ding him with a "2".
And somehow...I just can't. He hooks me every damn time. Don't understand why he's not a lot more huge than he actually is with the mainstream (maybe somebody at CC doesn't like him). Damn he's smooth. |

You sure about that? I always catch faint hints of early Elvis ballads and spirituals, with a touch of Roy Orbison. That's faint hints and a touch, RP listeners, not an exact match. |

| Beastie (Living with 22 million+, same city) | Posted: Feb 22, 2006 - 12:07 He does have a style all his own, although I agree in that in this song, his full vocal force is not realized fully - only in a few parts of it. Somehow I get the feeling that "Baja Sessions" may have more than his usual suave, romantic themes. Cannot blame him if he were hitting on college girls, by the way. |
