Song for Irma Thomas
Hell, at home I came to you with best intentions
You laid down and give to me just what I'm seeking
say, you drive me to distraction
so..
How Irma, you came to me like wine comes to the mouth
Grown tired of water all the time
You quench my heart and Oh, you quench my mind
and.. celebrate
Celebrate we will
'Cause life is short but sweet for certain
Hey, we climb on two by two
To be sure these days continue
Things we cannot change
Oh Hell, Irma, do you believe that we might last a thousand years
Or more if not for this,
Our flesh and blood
It ties you and me right up
celebrate and see how...
Celebrate we will
'Cause life is short but sweet for certain
Hey, we climb on two by two
To be sure these days continue
Things we can
get up and celebrate...
Celebrate we will
Come on'Cause life is short but sweet for certain
Aw, we climb on two by two
To be sure aw, these days continue
Things we cannot change
change.. change.. oh oh oh..
Oh that, Irma, I came to you with best intentions
You laid down and give to me just what I'm seeking
Aw lover you... ride me, ride me ,ride me
so..
Celebrate we will
'Cause life is short but sweet for certain
OH, we climb on two by two
oh To be sure these days continue
Things we can...
Aw well away ah..
and these celebrations
Oh.. climb on two by two
good life is short
But sweet for certain
oh..Oh We grab on To be sure...
Things we cannot change
change...change..change... oh oh..
celebrate we will..
cause life is short...
but sweet for certain
Oh, we climb on two by two
to be sure that these days continue....

| hippiechick (topsy turvy land) | Posted: Mar 15, 2013 - 15:04 A great memory: I drove my 16 year old son and his friends to a Dave outdoor concert, and this was the last song, and it started to rain, and we were all dancing in the rain and it was FANTASTIC! Then it stopped raining and we all started leaving and all of a sudden we were standing in front of Dave's bus, and he was waving to us! Then we sat in the car for 2 hours trying to get out of the lot, the car next door to us gave us a show by letting us watch her give him a bj, I almost ran out of gas, I had to have my battery jumped by a fellow Davehead, then we stopped at the Subway and filled up, along with everyone else, and got home at 4am. A good time was had by all. |
| pirhan | Posted: Mar 15, 2013 - 15:02 I was concentrating on something and heard the guitar and turned it up... then I realized it was Dave Matthews. I'm not sure how I feel about this. |

So, now that we've gotten past that complaint, what's next? Not a Dave hater, but I don't follow your logic. You say it wasn't Dave's bus, but the bus belonged to someone in the Dave Matthews Band. Who's band is it again? So, while Dave didn't personally dump sewage on a bunch of people on a boat in the Chicago river, someone who works for Dave did. And then lied about it. And then pled guilty. |
