Haunting. One of my all-time classic rock favorites that define an era in my life, up there with Red Rider's Lunatic Fringe, Pretty Woman, Layla, When the Levee Breaks, Maybelline, Brown Sugar, Whiter Shade of Pale, Gimme Some Lovin', Light My Fire, London Calling, Born to be Wild, Paranoid, Dazed & Confused, Cowgirl in the Sands, Gimme Shelter, Paradise by the Dashboard Lights, Revolution, Cinnamon Girl, Wild Thing, Comfortably Numb, I Can See for Miles, Under the Boardwalk, .... First line plays and .... yeah!

Really don't like this song. And I just listened to it while working without even noticing.

Good question.   A Toronto girl ?

I have this listed as a 1.  Sucko Barfo.   The syndicated radio stations in Parry Sound, Muskoka, Bancroft and Haliburton play this once a day still after 23 years.

Sure it's a bit cheap, but she is a powerful vocalist. Bass part is hypnotic and cool. Not a bad song...never meant to be ultra serious.

Dude.  Totally agree that being populare or winning a Grammy doesn't make a song bad.  I love popular music.  The Beatles are my favorite band of all time for Chrissake. Stevie Wonder is a genius in my book and for a few years there the Grammy's were the Stevie awards.

But this is .... oh well my colleague - see below says it best.

Agreed — I was just wishing she had sung some other hits, I think she does have talent.  Nice to hear this now and again as a "filler song".

I like this song enough to have actually bought the disc just for it back when it was new.  The bass line hooked me in.  Didn't care much for the rest of the album.  Might be worth digging up and seeing if I feel the same way now.
