Then why don't you upload some great tracks from your collection?
Personally I dig this one just fine, it was ages I heard it last (mainly because I rarely listen to commercial radio)

Great band, great song, brilliant video! I remember introducing my kids to Soundgarden when they were 2&3, didn't do them any harm!

Ah....reading the comments, I see I'm not the only one who always hated this song.

My wife once asked me (we both were in the higher teens in the early 90s) "What was that band with that video called again?". My immidiate response was "Soundgarden with black hole sun". Of course, the answer was correct.

Was played to death. Didn't help me liking it.

yes, one of the bands who made me to look at with "other eyes", since 1984, the work that came marginally been produced for the called bands alternative, yes, this band was necessarily the "Soundgarden", and with all the merit, therefore Soundgarden is perhaps of the bands most succeeded and more recognized of in this area where they had to tame for its account the risk, and had always obtained!

The lame guy screaming a strained "black hole sun" repeatedly - like he's unsuccessfully trying to pass something stuck in his colon - annoys me to no end. Come to think of it, I feel the same with the lead singer.

Faux Beatles + Mediocre Grunge = Black Hole Sun

Am I supposed to think it's DEEP because it's a BLACK HOLE sun? I mean, that's sooooo ironic.

Sorry - never got Soundgarden, never got (as others have pointed) why some people think this song is the bee's knees. If Soundgarden were erased from music history I can't imagine anyone would notice...maybe Nickleback never would have existed but that might just be optimism on my part.

Ugh. I second that. And doubt it's coincidence that this song hasn't been played in 3 years.

It seems you have found a new outlet for your "very overplayed" complaints and other rants - it's hard to find anything positive you have contributed to the RP forums...

(Sorry about feeding the troll, but I like Soundgarden so much that I'm happy for any of their songs that makes it into the RP playlist, overplayed or not)

Hilarious! Last night in the "Post Your '1' Ratings" forum, I mentioned this track, and how I've for years had to explain why I hate it (not sure).

Then, here it is, well after a year since last play! Coincidence?

Anyway, glad I missed it! :P

Chris Cornell's voice turns me on. Soundgarden was the greatest mid-90s Band :!:

Superunknown was a great album.
1994, I worked a show at the Kitsap fairgrounds where Eleven, Tad(I think they played --forgive my memory), and Soundgarden all played. Cobain had died. The Puget Sound area was pretty tense. It was an amazing outside show. 5000 -7000 people. When Soundgarden came out, I just took out my earplugs and watched on-- which wasn't exactly what I was paid to do, but, whatever.

For new folks that like Soundgarden, look to
*Flower*, Ultramega OK. (seattle 1988, when Mudhoney would put mud on the stage and wallow in it for all our enjoyment. it was great.)
*Fopp*, Screaming Life/Fopp/.
*Get On The Snake*, Louder Than Love.
*Hands All Over*, Louder Than Love.
*Mind Riot*, BadMotorFinger.
*Drawing Flies*, BadMotorFinger.
(Drawing Flies is right after Mind Riot, and while it is a lesser track, the combination of both songs played in sequence is quite high.)
*New Damage*, BadMotorFinger.
*The Day I Tried To Live*, SuperUnknown.
*Fell On Black Days*, SuperUnknown.
*Kickstand*, SuperUnknown.
*Rhinosaur*, Down on the Upside.

small list
