I remember seeing this video for the first time and there was only one reason I went to go buy it the next day.  Two words - Shirley Manson

Shirley Manson - VIdeo Capture from Queer

Interesting how English changes with the times.  "Queer" used to be a quite proper word to use in genteel society "Oh, yes, my dear, that fellow Professor Mesmer has some queer ideas".   Or "Hey, ya mug!  This is a queer deal!  Don Corelone ain't gonna like dis ting!  Ya gonna take the Big Sleep - this Queer ain't no good!  The treasury seals are all wrong!"  (cue sounds of Tommy Guns and brick walls).

viz:  unusual; conterfeit money, a bad or wrong thing, unorthodox.

Well, hope you have a gay time today!

FYI, Shirley Manson is now part of the TV show "Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles". She plays a rather evil character, and pulls it off quite well!

I saw Garbage at the Roskilde festival in Denmark in June - and Shirley was just so out of it at the show. It was pretty fun to watch. She kept on raving about all sorts of things, started singing that annoying "nananana" Kylie Minogue song about three times, had to stop and start over on several songs. It was a great show, but I'm guessing the other members of the band were pretty pissed of at her afterwards.

i remember hearing this song for the first time when it came out (and learning that Butch Vig was in the band) and thinking that Garbage must be a great band... they have only disappointed me since.

this one is great though.
