As an Irish/Scottish/Welsh/English/American who grew up in the nineties, I LOVE this. It makes me want to dance a jig in the middle of my computer repair shop.

Thanks, Magnus. As it happens, now that I've bought a couple of ACSS albums, I now know that they're mostly Irish, not least because all the Gaelic lyrics are in Irish rather than Scots Gaelic, so leprechauns it is. ACSS has to be one of the most successful celtic + 'world music' fusions I've come across, and there are an absolute sack load these days in Celtic music. Highly recommend. 8 -> 9

ACSS are another fine example of the renaissance of modern Scottish music over the last couple of decades, following a trail blazed by Runrig and Capercaillie, combining traditional and modern Scottish, and a wide range of international, rhythms and sounds in very, very interesting and stimulating ways. Another fine example of a weird sound fusion that shouldn't work, but does, is Salsa Celtica. Anyway, 7 from the Nottingham jury, bound to rise with further listenings. With a few drams of fine malt inside me this would be an automatic 9 :*)

This kind of music is great when you're at Irish Fest, completely drunk, and dancing to your hearts content with a bunch of people who are doing the same. But when you're sitting in front of a computer, completely sober, and haven't been outside in 9+ hours...there's just something lost in the translation. Definitely not something I'd listen to on a regular basis.

(But I sure can't wait for Irish Fest!!!)
