Nothing against Keb Mo, but just once I would like a songwriter to use a rhyme with "dance" other than "romance."  Glance?  Prance?  King of France?  White cotton underpants?  Anything?

I prolly saw him on the same tour, here in Austin at the Backyard, years ago now. I was REALLY impressed with him. Dig.

I saw Kevin, on tour with Lyle Lovett, at the Cynthia Woods-Mitchell Pavilion in Houston. Me and a group of 9 friends.

The whole set, including Keb Mo, exemplifies "Songs That Talk About Dancing But Make You Want To Slump Instead" . . . If you are going to repeat lyrics ad nauseam, at least make them worthwhile.

Saw Keb in Chicago about 11 years ago and I was amazed. Truthfully, I think he sounds much better when it is just him and the guitar. Adding the piano, bass, and drums just take away from his singing and playing.

I think from his first CD entitled "Keb Mo". The entire CD is superb - one of the few jewels I've found in the last couple years. One of my most-played kitchen CDs - music to keep things going while cooking.

I met this guy years ago when he went by Kevin Moore.

He played guitar for a bar band I went to hear many times. I even had breakfast with him.

Not that any of you care, but I thought it was cool.


This is the wrong cd listing. It's from his debut self titled cd not Keep It Simple.

Keb' Mo' is such an amazing artist and I'd love hearing more of him on RP! His first three or four albums are some of his best work, heavily influenced by Robert Johnson (not only the music but the look too). Compare some of Keb' Mo's album covers to some of the old Robert Johnson records.

Kevin definitlely belongs on Radio Paradise!

Took a friend who'd never heard of Keb Mo to a show at the HOB in Chicago last year. He was so blown away that he stopped at Borders the next day and bought 4 of his cds.

If you haven't seen this guy live... what are you waiting for??

A Keb Mo piece of trivia -- His real name is Kevin Moore - when he first entered the music scene, his sound was a lot more jazz with a touch of R&B.

Great song!

If you ever get the chance, check out Keb Mo in concert. I saw him two summers ago. At first I was disappointed because it was obvious from seeing the stage that it was going to be just him, not a full band. All that changed once he came on and started playing. Just simple clean guitar playing and that great voice of his. He puts out a real easy going, good time vibe with his songs and his story telling. A true singer/songwriter.

Most straightforward rock-n-blues fails to appeal to me, but I can't help but enjoy Keb Mo. I don't know if it's his voice, or something less tangible, but he makes everything enjoyable.
