So, it's been a little while since this song was played, and unfortunately, it's the only one on RP by Mr. Hillman, but after having seen him last night with Herb Pederson at the Breedlove Guitar Festival, I must say, this guy is a master of the genre.  You can just feel the history and the legacy oozing out of this fellow.  What a treat it was to discover this talented man.  He truly can jam a Mandolin like nobody's business.

chris has a lot of amazing history behind him and alot more talent. quite a bit more than kenny does. and he's not doing the current indian casino/ state fair circuit. looking at your highest rated songs, i'm surprised you ragged on him. some of the artist you favor, have had some close association with him.Edited By Kurt_from_La_Qui at 2:48 pm on 3/07/2003

Always wondered what happened to Chris Hillman. Last I heard of him was the Byrds reunion album, about 25 years ago. Guess he's still alive.

Never heard of this guy before but I like him. In "I'm still alive" I like the rhythms of the music, and especially the 'break' at the end of the chorus. Please play more by him.
