Her green plastic watering can
For a fake Chinese rubber plant in fake plastic earth
That she bought from a rubber man
In a town full of rubber plans to get rid of itself
It wears her out, it wears her out
It wears her out, it wears her out
She lives with a broken man
A cracked polystyrene man who just crumbles and burns
He used to do surgery
For girls in the eighties but gravity always wins
And it wears him out, it wears him out
It wears him out, it wears
She looks like the real thing
She tastes like the real thing, my fake plastic love
But I can't help the feeling
I could blow through the ceiling if I just turn and run
And it wears me out, it wears me out
It wears me out, it wears me out
And if I could be who you wanted
If I could be who you wanted all the time, all the time
| ElizabethBoody (Washington, DC) | Posted: Jul 31, 2005 - 12:44 Radiohead have revealed little details about the new album to be released in 2006. I have written a couple of articles, including an mp3 of "Arpeggi" and video link for "House of Cards." (click here) (click here) |
| konkel (Boulder, CO) | Posted: Feb 04, 2004 - 18:00 For all the abuse that this band is taking here, I must say that I loved this song when it came on, and found myself surprised that it was Radiohead. Listen, if the song's good, the hype seems like a moot point. |
| rgj13 (window seat) | Posted: Feb 04, 2004 - 18:00 Outstanding, though I wish for a better recording when I hear this. I don't mind crowd noise and the like, but better mics and/or soundboard management could have made this almost transcendent. |
| ladyj (Owosso, MI) | Posted: Feb 04, 2004 - 17:58 just not doing anything for me. |
| drH | Posted: Dec 25, 2003 - 12:05 World's most over-rated band. The 2003 soundtrack of teen angst. And WAY overplayed on RP. |

:???: As soon as 'everybody else' is loving a band/artist, there's mostly some kind of hype going on. Part of that is the case with Radiohead I think, though they've done some extraordinary things, for sure. But not all of it is that great or special as it seems, IMO. The same with someone like David Bowie in the past. He couldn't do wrong. Well, we've seen how that has changed! |
