I agree. This is a must have, must keep album. Were I ever to lose it I would have to immediately find it again. This whole album helped me deal with the loss of my mother. I can't begin to explain it but... it spoke volumes to me at the time.

Her last album was so intense that I expect it took a hell of a lot out of her, emotionially, so I wouldn't hold my breath for the next one, though like you I surely look forward to it. Hey, Poe, you can take me for a ride anyday {#Hearteyes}

Squashed, her 'quiet voice' is exactly as loud as her 'loud voice'.  Over compressed, poor mastering.

This album is in my top 10 "unearthed gems" list.  Few people I know have heard of Poe, but when I let the interested among them borrow this CD, they are impressed.  The songwriting and performance are excellent and the production is highly innovative.  What a waste that someone like Alanis Morissette experienced a level of popularity that could have (I'll say it: should have) been reserved for Poe and Tracy Bonham.

That's the voice of Poe's late father, for whom Poe produced this CD, which is thus highly moving. Had me blubbing at the end and I very rarely cry.
