| Tim_in_N_FL (Florida) | Posted: Feb 02, 2011 - 14:38 Michael Stipes' evil super fan twin 6/10 at first blush |
| zipper | Posted: Dec 01, 2010 - 16:01 The kind of tune I usually enjoy, but this is a drag. |
| mem_313 (lerkin) | Posted: Dec 01, 2010 - 16:00 this is an interesting song. I like the lyrics, but clearing REM influenced mix. |

| drews (London, Blighty) | Posted: Jul 27, 2010 - 08:20 Too much REM is clearly not good for this guy |
| SilentCity | Posted: Jul 27, 2010 - 08:17 Love Josh Joplin! Super fun live show with CDs that have held up. Where is he at these days? |
| Anax (Seattle, WA) | Posted: Jun 25, 2010 - 11:27 I like the lyrics, all angst-y and such. |

| yofitofu (Santa Barbara, CA) | Posted: Sep 30, 2009 - 14:45 I thought it was REM. But it has a very nice groove and I like it. |
| photosynthesis (San Francisco) | Posted: Sep 30, 2009 - 14:45 yes sort of does sound like a less emotional Michael Stipe. Pretty good, like to hear more |
| j7 | Posted: Sep 30, 2009 - 14:44 Has Stipe tried to sue this guy for ripping him off so poorly? |

| shayde (Berlin, MA) | Posted: Sep 14, 2009 - 11:28 tracey wrote: sweet song. def had to check the playlist as i was hearing REM and tragically hip in there..likes There's a lot of REM in here - though it surely underlines how good REM is - "Sounds the same... but... not... nearly as compelling". I like the riffing bridge in the middle, that gave it a notch up. But, jeezus guys, repeating a really nice groove over and over again does not make it better. |
| hilbink (Rocky Mountain High) | Posted: Sep 14, 2009 - 11:28 Anybody else think this guy sounds like Peter Murphy of Bauhaus? |

Remember, folks, just 'cause a piece of music trips a trigger in your brain does not detract from the validity of the piece. (All music is derivative of something.) |
| borggrrl (San Francisco) | Posted: Mar 08, 2009 - 17:11 I'm reminded of R.E.M., which isn't a bad thing at all. |
| ghostcow | Posted: Dec 19, 2008 - 22:10 Good Song, but it gets high rating because I love the Album which has some much better songs. Great sing-a-long song for the car. |
| Danimal174 (Upstate South Carolina) | Posted: Nov 18, 2008 - 08:17 I have a record store promo of this CD and have also heard all of the major-label release (from which this version of this song is taken), and I much prefer the radio promo version that I have. To me, the major-label version is too slick-sounding & over-produced, whereas the first one sounds more..."honest"...for lack of a better word. |
| (former member) (hotel in Las Vegas) | Posted: Oct 17, 2008 - 20:01 BTW, Josh says he sounds like Michael Stipe and dreams like Carl Jung... |
| Danimal174 (Upstate South Carolina) | Posted: Jun 29, 2008 - 01:29 There are better songs on this CD. This one is average to me. |
| natural_tools (Dallas, TX) | Posted: Jun 13, 2008 - 15:17 What I like about this album is that it came out at a time when everything on the radio was perfectly slick, soulless pop. It was refreshing to hear something unique, scratchy, slightly off-key and personal. Of course, the radio hasn't changed at all since then, but now I have an iPod and Radio Paradise, so who cares about that anymore? |
| bugleboy624 (Bluefield, WV) | Posted: Jun 13, 2008 - 11:13 I put it at 3. Ho-hum indeed. |

| jlind (Chicago, IL) | Posted: May 28, 2008 - 14:42 I really like the lyrics... but somehow it still manages to stay around average overall. |

Yep that got me, too. But the rest was okay so I'll leave it at a 5. |

| SgtPepper | Posted: May 31, 2007 - 19:41 I'm sure we've all had a brush or two with some type of celebrity..it's just a fun little story...not bragging, or making any attempt to be cool--maybe if I was 16, but I'm in my 40's :-) Now if I was kicked back with Mick and Keef, there's a whole different story! |
