Now that's tedious. Apparently, the idea is that you can make a boring song even better by stretching it out to 5 minutes.

This is a 4, I say.

As for the 80's quality of this song, I would find the 80's pretty hard pressed to even find room for this one. They're pretty steeped in this kind of material already.

Same category as Marshall Crenshaw, Dave Edmunds, Lloyd Cole. Same sound, I like 'em all.

Inspiring.... Inspiring me to vomit. But I didn't up-chuck so I gave it a 2.

Graham Parker was unfortunately overshadowed by performers like
Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson (who both are excellent musicians
and song writers themselves). Thus he unfortunately never received
much airplay.

I have visions of Don Johnson, holding a microphone, crouching over with his fist clenched tight and singing with his eyes closed in overwhelming emotion...

"looking for a hearrrrt beeeaaattttt"

This gets a 2, just because I kind of giggled at the imagery the song brought up...

Am I going to have to buy Squeezing Out Sparks just to upload songs from it or will someone with the cd get off their behind and do it?

Yuck, don't like this at all. I totally agree with the comment below about sounding like Miami Vice music.

Listening to that song was the equivalent of eating cardboard. At least it functioned to make the following tune sound even better.

Guess I just like the bassline and the minor chords. It stands out. The acoustic guitar is pretty nifty too.
