Marketing execs? Early Berkeley grads under-qualified and overpaid? The me-generation hiding from your past, manipulating the stock market, leveraging real estate depriving others of an affordable home so you can live off overpriced rents when you're too old and fat to move. yea you guys were all about that peace love and happiness thing. i guess it was a little overrated - for you guys.

Got to admit, McCartney's jamming bass work on this one is among the very best ever, and I really dig how John's manic twisted weirdness squirms and gnashes its teeth beneath everything, and it seems that it all still shines so darned well after all these years!

I think this is another one of those songs that people rate high just because it's the Beatles.  There is a pervasive Beatles-can-do-no-wrong mentality because I think some people are afraid to say "Yeah, that song isn't very good."  This song really is shite even though musically it has a bit of an interesting feel to it.

You never heard of Billy Preston before "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure"?  He was performing professionally since the early 1960s, but I don't believe he was a part of this song.  He's all over the "Let It Be" album, and did a lot of work with The Stones, though.

I was in high school and I could not believe it and nobody else could either. I still have a hard time listening to Double Fantasy album. IMO his best sole but the memories of the time come back.
