I used to really like Travis, and this song, but I have to agree this just sounds a bit weak now. I'd also say that this song in particular is the epitome of an FM-friendly single - completely inoffensive and with an easy to remember, sing-along chorus, but also rather forgettable.

Last time I listened to this was back in high school, about 7-8 years ago. Not that bad, but not that good either. Deserves a... 5, maybe?

my take on  _1's thought is while some songs stand the test of time, others do not.  This is one of them.

As for the lyrics:

I think it's a plea for harmony.  They are saying we are all in this circle of life together and we shouldn't take sides against each other, etc.

That's very true. I was listening to the Singles CD on an extended drive yesterday afternoon. I had the sound down low and it was just about perfect...

I also agree with some of the other posters that Travis makes excellent "comfort music."

The lyrics are quite common but still ok. I listen to this song almost everyday coz of the music. If they could change the lyrics this song would be great.

Maybe he's actually thinking of a Moebius strip? Anyway, the lyrics make me feel good. I give it a one-sided 8.

This album caught me at first, but I soon wearied of its rehash of the tired brit-pop formula. Personally, I blame Oasis.

I've mostly enjoyed the last two Travis albums, but some of their lyrics make me cringe. They're very much like phrases taken out of a high school journal, very trite and cliche.Edited By tom_tom at 3:47 pm on 3/29/2002

Y'know, it's one of those things... I was working- not really listening- but I really had to know who sung that song- the tune stuck in my head. I just downoaded it from Limewire... hope I still like it once i listen to it! ;)
