Everything about that version of Dune sucks including that bit of gimmick casting. Check out the Sci Fi Channel's Dune miniseries, now THEY got it right. |

| SuperWeh (Delft) | Posted: Jul 04, 2003 - 03:02 Sting needs Andy Summers and Stu Copeland! |
| jpbergjr (Woodstock, IL) | Posted: Jun 13, 2003 - 21:32 Acknowledging his "talent", I find Stings solo material so selfish and boring. Surrounding yourself with other great players is always a good thing, but when the song sucks, the song sucks. If the song rambles on, it rambles on regardless of who is playing it. Good for Sting and his good fortune, but none if it came from me. |

i always contended that the police were basically sting's voice and copeland's drums. wait a second, isn't manu catche (sp?) on drums? stewart copeland is awesome but so is this guy! they are all up there with the likes of neil peart, john bonham, and buddy rich. sting ain't doing all that bad as yu say he is. he has some major musical powerhouses surrounding him on stage. |

| mr.selfdestruct (Edmonton) | Posted: Feb 21, 2003 - 14:04 Great song, but Sting sounds like he has a cold in this version. |
| Joyfulchristine (CA) | Posted: Feb 21, 2003 - 14:04 You'll forrrrrget the sun... I much prefer the original version, without all the RRR's. |

I can understand how we can feel a bit "betrayed" from not being able to find out what The Police might have done had they been able to get along - which by the way, is another reason the Stones and U2 and even the Who deserve credit in this regard - staying together to put out a growing and evolving body of work. Unfortunately Sting did leave and so we only get half (not a third, but not three quarters either) of what could have been. Like the individual Beatles, even the most talented/creative, Sting has put out solo music that has merit, some certainly ranking with the best of the Police. So I try to keep my mind open because you still might hear bits of that greatness here and there. This song, which is nearly ten years old now, is one of Sting's lyrics; and the matching music works well too. I espcially like this live version being played here at Radio Paradise. This sounds very, very good, Bill. (perfect "mid-day" vibe.) (Is there any way you might be able to note where this recording orinates?) |

| jpalembas (Washington, DC) | Posted: Nov 01, 2002 - 08:38 that line... "feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth" ... still makes my heart go pillter-patter after the 3,000th time i've heard this song! :) |

| vernalbogneris (Vancouver, BC) | Posted: Mar 24, 2002 - 22:38 One of the stronger songs in Stings recent catalogue -- I give it a 4. Get my drift? |

| Yfandes78 (Berkeley, CA) | Posted: Feb 21, 2002 - 16:21 This is a cheesy, sappy, chick song. I LOVE IT! It's such a guilty pleasure, like eating chocolate and watching cartoons late at night. |

| tlem (Fairfax, VA) | Posted: Feb 07, 2002 - 07:54 Not a bad song, but a little too immaculate to be engaging. Something with rough edges is more likely to snag me. |
| rhw (Chicago, IL) | Posted: Dec 16, 2001 - 00:20 I give it a 7. The original gets a 9. |
| JBC75 (Decatur, GA) | Posted: Dec 10, 2001 - 21:01 Makes me close my eyes and smile..... I like it. |
| Eric_Halfa_Bee (Tucson, AZ) | Posted: Nov 28, 2001 - 22:51 As we eat from fields of mold... You know, I know I've heard sting songs I like, but every time I hear one on RP I have the urge to break out the 1s and 2s. |
