| cwstanton (Colorado Springs, CO) | Posted: Jul 15, 2003 - 09:37 I'd call it a sort of Ambient R&B. I'm not much of a rap fan either, but this song is enjoyable. Reminds me a little of Arrested Development. |
| llazare (Ann Arbor, MI) | Posted: Jul 15, 2003 - 09:35 Bill, What's up with the profanity on this song in the middle of the day? Not that I'm a prude, but sometimes I have RP playing around the house and I wouldn't want my kids to hear this song. :???: |
| McDonald (Christiansted, VI) | Posted: Jul 05, 2003 - 03:43 If I never heard this song again it would be to soon. |
| the_om (Indianapolis, IN) | Posted: Jun 04, 2003 - 14:29 I've always thought rap is to music what cubism is to painting. |
| ardent_supperter (Los Angeles, CA) | Posted: Jun 04, 2003 - 14:23 This is NOT rap music. I friggin' HATE rap music, and I like this a great deal. |
| chiel_m (The Hague) | Posted: Jun 04, 2003 - 14:22 Very chillllllll........ (pimp) |

| tg3k (The Jungle - 459.62 miles south of Paradise, CA) | Posted: Apr 04, 2003 - 11:35 I'm generally not much of a rap fan, but this number is cool. The instrumental bed caught my attention at first -- I like the tweaked guitar sample throughout the song. Although I'm pretty opinionated about what music I like and dislike, I'm open to hearing anything once or twice, and I try not to dismiss something until I've given it a few tries. This song is a good example of that. This is one of the things that makes Radio Paradise the great place it is. Even if what's playing right now makes me ill, in 3 or 4 minutes Bill could pull up something that blows me away. Ya never know . . . maybe you'll be surprised to find you like something you didn't expect to. I really like when that happens. |
| rgrace (Berkeley, CA) | Posted: Apr 04, 2003 - 11:33 Strong reaction both pro and con here. I like it myself. |

| MsfStl (Clayton (2028 miles east of Paradise), MO) | Posted: Apr 04, 2003 - 11:27 First time I've heard this. I like, yes, its official, I like this. A solid 9 from moi. (pimp) |
| derby (Dundalk Sparrows, MD) | Posted: Mar 25, 2003 - 06:03 Michael Franti and Spearhead are one of the better things happening today. Definetly check-out (and play) the Stay Human cd. |
| TAMARA76 (KOREA) | Posted: Mar 25, 2003 - 06:01 I like this. It challenges my musical taste -- that's a good thing. ;) |
| zaknafein (Kansas City, MO) | Posted: Mar 04, 2003 - 21:31 Do we have some snobs here or what? I'm glad RP is daring enough to play ANYTHING, be it hip hop, rock, celtic, classical, or African. Diversity is why I come here. |

| johnmon (Raleigh, NC) | Posted: Jan 12, 2003 - 19:16 There's a hole in the bucket dear Liza...dear Liza. I wonder how many listeners really understand the reference. I can't tell your the original novelty tune from the 70's (or was it the 60's) but it ain't lost on me. I LOVE IT! |
| jm (Brookline, NH) | Posted: Jan 02, 2003 - 14:21 This is the kind of variety that makes RP so great ![]() |

| LisaRCT (Bethlehem, PA) | Posted: Dec 23, 2002 - 09:01 pretty kewl! don't know why but I just like it By-the-way, can that really be classified as rap? I mean no swearing, no anger . . . doesn't seem to fit the mold. ![]() |
| catsoup (Euclid, OH) | Posted: Dec 23, 2002 - 09:00 I'm not a big fan of rap (hip-hop, whatever), because most of it has no content. (not unlike the Whitesnake catalog...) This, on the other hand, has something to say, says it well, and ties up the loose ends neatly at the end. I'd love to hear more from this CD. Another track like this and I'm ready to buy. Keep up the great work, Bill. |

| Bat_Man (Sligo) | Posted: Nov 12, 2002 - 14:45 Play it again Sam |
| Dizzy (Lafayette, CO) | Posted: Nov 12, 2002 - 14:40 Damn, you guys are playing some great stuff today. I've always loved this song. Actually, the whole CD is worth having. Keep 'em coming. |
| skindy (Albany, NY) | Posted: Jul 22, 2002 - 10:44 Hee hee hee -- I don't care if it's rap or has a compelling social message... I wasn't listening too closely at first, but then I caught the lyrics. Reaction: disbelief, then a big smile when I recognized it as one of the songs we used to sing on the playground when I was just a wee lass! I got a huge kick out of this! :^) |

Granted, there's tons of rap out there that i hate. But, like any musical genre, you cant like 'em all, and there's bound to be some out there thats palatable. |

(other great hip hop bands include Jurassic 5, De La Soul, Dilated Peoples, and The Roots (who play all their own instruments and write all their own music). cheers to that! thanks for summarizing my thoughts! :p (btw-- some roots, de la, tribe would sound great on this station....) |

| Platypus (Baltimore, MD) | Posted: Jun 01, 2002 - 08:34 agreed. pretty lame. just because it has a "message" doesnt make it good music. I also agree with Lily, below, some Roots would be fantastic. full live band with rappers. |

| markw (Norman, OK) | Posted: Apr 21, 2002 - 12:55 I really liked this. I'm not a rap or a hip-hop fan particularly, but this was cool. Thought it was Gil Scott Heron at first. Once again, thanks for the diversity on RP. You just never know what's gonna turn up here and that's exactly why I keep coming back. |
