![]() Fims About Ghosts (2003) [ larger cover art ] |
Albert's always sincere, he's a sensitive type,
His intentions are clear, he wanna be well-liked,
If everything is nothing, then are we anything?
Is it better to be better than to be anything?
And Albert's vision is blooming uncontrolled,
All his wings are slowly sinking,
The world begins to disappear,
The worst things come from inside here,
All the king's men reappear,
For an eggman, fallin' off the wall,
Who'll never be together again.
Einstein's down on the beach staring into the sand,
'Cause everything he believes in is shattered,
What you fear in the night in the day comes to call anyway,
We all get burned as,
One more sun comes sliding down the sky,
One more shadow leans against the wall,
The world begins to disappear,
The worst things come from inside here,
And all the king's men reappear,
For an eggman, fallin' off the wall,
Who'll never be together again.
Albert's waiting in the sun on a field American,
For the cause of some inflated form of hit and run.
One more sun comes sliding down the sky,
One more shadow leans against the wall,
The world begins to disappear,
The worst things come from inside here
And all the king's men reappear
For an eggman, fallin' off the wall
Who'll never be together again.
Albert's fallen on the sun,
Cracked his head wide open,
The world begins to disappear,
The worst things come from inside here,
And all the king's men reappear,
For an eggman, fallin, fallin,
The world begins to disappear,
The worst things come from inside here,
And all the king's men reappear,
For an eggman, fallin' off the wall,
Who'll never be together again.
No never be together again,
No no never, never, never again, uh huh,
What you fear in the night in the day comes to call anyway.
Never, never, never again.

| galamud | Posted: Apr 19, 2007 - 13:33 This may be my favorite song ever. How can anyone hate it? It's so upbeat! Piano fills! Organs! |
| electronicthroat (The South) | Posted: Apr 19, 2007 - 13:31 counting crows blow |

| celadonstone (the Lowcountry of SC (2858.50 mi East of Paradise)) | Posted: Jan 17, 2007 - 10:42 This segue from radiohead to counting crows was in did evidence of the eclectic mix. It cant all ease one into the other, you have to change tempo and theme eventually. |
| stabby (Montreal) | Posted: Jan 17, 2007 - 10:38 It is a strange mix but I love both these artists so its ok with me...onwards! |

Pave paradise and put up a parking lot indeed. Long time listener, first time poster... Just had to point out that this is actually early Counting Crows, but previously was only found on this album, put out in '94: http://www.amazon.com/DGC-Rarities-Vol-Various-Artists/dp/B000003TB4 I loved this song and it fit in perfectly with the alterna-rock of the era, it just wasn't like the other Crows of the time. |

But they have lost the plot on the last couple. This is so obviously filler for a Greatest Hits package. Urrgh....... |

I have to agree. He was annoying when they first released this song, and the fact that it has been overplayed just makes it worse. Enough! |
| warderblu | Posted: Jun 10, 2005 - 07:55 This was an awesome CD at the time and still holds up pretty well. Nirvana, Sonic Youth, Weezer, Teenage Fanclub, That Dog, Beck, Counting Crows, The Sundays Amazing to think that all of these incredible artists were signed to the same record label. Would have liked to have seen a DGC Rarities, Vol. 2! :-( I wonder whatever happened to it???? |

I actually quite liked this band... but I bought their live album and I can't make out any tunes... it all seems to merge into one tuneless song. Maybe I need to listen more but anyways... I was suprised by your "fanastic live band" comment |
