![]() Spirit Of Eden (1988) [ larger cover art ] |
Summer bled of Eden
Easter's heir uncrowns
Another destiny
lies leeched
upon the ground
Everybody needs someone to live by
Everybody needs someone
Everybody needs someone to live by
A gilded wreath on reason
The flower crushed conceives
A child of fragrance
so much clearer
In legacy
Everybody needs someone to live by
Everybody needs someone
Everybody needs someone to live by
Rage on omnipotent
| fiddler | Posted: Jun 12, 2013 - 07:49 What a great band!...and this album is just amazing! |
| BBoyes (Utah: Gateway to Nevada) | Posted: May 11, 2013 - 11:51 One of my faves - great to hear it again! If music is your religion, this could be a convocation. |
| DaidyBoy (Bristol, UK) | Posted: Apr 10, 2013 - 07:38 Utterly beautiful. Haunting album from start to finish. Top of my list of 80's bands for sure. |
| paul_constantine (Hamburg) | Posted: Apr 10, 2013 - 07:37 Bought the CD in the 80s and was surprised and alienated at first. Then listend to it over and over and it started to grow. Now consider it one of the best CDs I own. Top score! |
| lily34 (GTFO) | Posted: Jan 29, 2013 - 08:08 oh, so soothing to me. i absolutely love talk talk. |
| hidey (NZ) | Posted: Dec 29, 2012 - 00:00 I thought people were locked away for making music like this in the 80's... Just as well not all of them were! Excellent unique atmosphere, and Laughing Stock (the next album) is even better! |

DEFINITELY pick up the CD! The only real way to appreciate it fully, IMHO, is to get comfortable and sit down and listen to it all the way through at volume.... a nice glass of wine adds a dimension as well!!! |

| rdo (DC) | Posted: Oct 20, 2012 - 16:45 This is too slow-paced, almost like slow motion music. In general, they need to pick it up. It's not edgy. It's not ominous or creepy, which is what it would need to be at this pace to be any good. |

| enkay (Vancouver Island) | Posted: Jul 01, 2012 - 15:19 It's a sadness to me that Mark Hollis simply stopped making music after his one solo album. And if you like late stage Talk Talk and haven't heard his self-titled album you should check it out. Love the last three TT albums, especially in light of their Duran Duranish beginnings...they came far and then vanished. This is great stuff in my opinion, the sound of a band playing music that interested them and not aimed at the charts. An 8 from me, and still trending upwards. |

| coyotexxx2 (Enjoying Paradise) | Posted: Apr 07, 2011 - 13:36 And it doesn't have that aweful 80's production vibe. Very nice. |
