To me this really isn't Roy at his best. Sounds strained and out of tune. Unfortunately it seems to be about the only Roy Orbison song Bill plays here...   Not sure why. It's a mystery to me. {#Stupid}

I just can't listen to this. It's a pop song sung by a dying man. It makes me sad.

It's not just he or she.  It's a spectrum and it only took most people  a few thousand years to figure it out.   Then there is the religious right who are still on the struggle bus.{#Think}

"I Drove All Night"  is a terrific song.  It is available on The Very Best of Roy Orbison CD.

 "I Drove All Night"  would be a terrific song for RP.   Anybody want to upload for consideration?

EDIT:  Never mind.   "I Drove All Night"  has already been rejected.  :-(

He was belting them out until the very end.  "I Drove All Night" was recorded as a demo track just before he died.  If you haven't heard it you might want to check it out.

Maybe it's a good pairing, and definitely some of Billy's best, but nowhere near the godlike sublime voice of Roy Orbison IMO.

Yeah, apparently Bono and The Edge wrote it for Roy. Did not know that before I came here...Roy was a singular talent. One of those people who fills a niche that has no room for anyone else...

I know Paul Hewson and David Evans wrote this, but did U2 ever record a version of it?  As far as I know, this is the first released version of this song, so it's technically not a "cover" version.

Orbison sang with this genuine respect for women.

This is the best of the period.   Thanks to a former good friend from Arizona for highlighting Roy Orbison.
