As much as I love her later records, especially disc two of Aerial, it might be because I attribute so much to her that might not be there... I saw clips of her live show, and they were sophomoric and embarrassing. Much like Prince, I think "stick to the music and leave the multimedia alone. And don't talk, either, while you're at it." |

| unclelonghair | Posted: Jan 14, 2011 - 14:44 Dude this is like Kate Bush on acid. |
| fredriley (Nottingham, UK) | Posted: Dec 14, 2010 - 04:06 Kate Bush and diddly-eye-dum music. Hmm. I'm not sure if it works or not, but as a fan of herself I'll give it a few more listens. Her voice is especially low and strong in this number compared to much of her earlier stuff. For some reason, this song makes me think of the cult film The Wicker Man. |
| Algee | Posted: Nov 12, 2010 - 09:36 I can't get a handle on Kate Bush. Maybe that's why I like her so much. I bet she's extremely weird in real life. |

| RabbitEars | Posted: Nov 12, 2010 - 09:33 yippee! so cool to hear an odd track like this on the radio. brilliant |
| Cynaera (South of Neanderthal) | Posted: Oct 11, 2010 - 17:16 I just love Kate Bush's music. I've never heard a bad song from her. Some of them are difficult (as is, I need to listen to them a few times in order to absorb everything) but to my ears, never bad. ![]() |
| (former member) (hotel in Las Vegas) | Posted: Oct 11, 2010 - 17:14 soooo cool... love it... |
| justsomeone (Between a rock and a hard place) | Posted: Sep 09, 2010 - 22:55 I love Kate Bush, but this is a mediocre song by her standards, from an otherwise great album. A solid 7, though. |
| Webfoot (Eugene, Oregon) | Posted: May 05, 2010 - 12:25 Kate Bush at her worst is much better than many at their best. This is not her best, but a solid 8 nevertheless. |
| mamerjamer | Posted: May 05, 2010 - 12:04 Sorry, I just find this redundant and irritating. |

Excelsior, do you talk as much bollocks as you write? You really should refrain from posting here, you only show yourself up. |

Whilst this an excellent track you really do have to listen to it in the context of 'The Ninth Wave' (originally side two of the vinyl) to fully appreciate it. |
| (former member) (hotel in Las Vegas) | Posted: Jan 30, 2010 - 17:26 This song is soooo gooood for the ears... |
| More_Cowbell (Northern IL) | Posted: Dec 30, 2009 - 06:45 She always sounds like she is singing into a coffee can |

| peter_james_bond (Lunenburg, NS) | Posted: Feb 17, 2009 - 15:44 Thank you Bill! At last a song other than Running Up That Hill from this wonderful album. The whole of side 2, from whence this song comes, is tremendous. As someone else mentioned, it is part of a song cycle so hearing it out of that context, it may not hold up as well - although I think it does. My favorite cut from the album is the song that follows this, "Hello Earth". When it starts we hear part of the NASA communication during a space shuttle launch (or descent) - 'Columbia now 9 times the speed of sound' - It sends a chill up my spine every time. The song itself is beautiful, ....oh now I have to pull out the cd and play it. |
| katherinenz (The (other) far south...) | Posted: Feb 17, 2009 - 14:48 I really liked the instrumental interlude, but dear god those vocals were really unnecessary |
| QueenLucia (On the edge and ready to jump) | Posted: Feb 17, 2009 - 14:46 Magnificent! I lost my copy of this album quite a few years ago. I'd forgotten all the gems on it that you don't hear so often. Guess I'm going to have to re-stock. |
| mandolin (...drifting...) | Posted: Feb 17, 2009 - 14:46 ...from all the negative comments, i'll have to posit that this loses a lot of depth absent the song cycle to give it context... |
| wrangler (cliffside park, nj) | Posted: Dec 16, 2008 - 07:32 my ears are bleeding. |

| Pyro | Posted: Dec 16, 2008 - 07:26 instead of wanting to mute, I want to dance a jig love the instrumental interlude love Kate wish her new stuff was as good |
