This is the definition of my life
Lying in bed in the sunrise
Choking on a vitamin tablet the doctor gave
In the hope of saving me
In the hope of saving me
Mott's in the corner of the room
Junkyard fool with eyes of (glue/gloom/blue)
I asked him time again,
Take me in and dry the rain
Take me in and dry the rain
Take me in and dry the rain,
Take me in and dry the rain,
The rain, the rain, the rain, the rain, my rain now
Dusty brown boots in the corner by the ironing board
Spray-on dust is the greatest thing
Sure is the greatest thing
Since the last, since the last
Mott's in the corner of the room
Junkyard fool with eyes of (glue/gloom/blue)
I asked him time again
Take me in and dry the rain
Take me in and dry the rain
Take me in and dry the rain
Take me in and dry the rain
The rain, the rain, the rain, the rain, my rain now
I asked him time again,
Take me in and dry the rain
Take me in and dry the rain
Take me in and dry the rain
Take me in and dry the rain
The rain, the rain, the rain, the rain, my rain now
If there's something inside that you wanna say
Say it out loud it'll be okay
I will be alright, I will be alright
I will be your light, I will be your light
If there's something inside that you wanna say
You can say it out loud it will be okay
I will be alright, I will be your light
I will be your light, I will be your light
I need love
I need love

| amoreena (west whatnot) | Posted: May 17, 2013 - 10:51 All you haters.....do two quick shots of Jack Daniels, (or other substance of choice) put on headphones, and you will love this song. Why not try it, eh? |

The Three EPs CD, which this track if from, is a great listen overall, but this particular track is a solid 10. What is more amazing is that, personally, I don't find it rips anything off - even if other people can hear other artists/songs, I think it is really their unique sound. |

| cherjr (New York, USA) | Posted: Feb 12, 2013 - 07:26 Soooooo underrated.... |

I think in the movie the line goes "watch, I am going to sell 5 copies of the Beta Band" as he spins their album. I am wondering if that was the only 5 copies ever sold by this band...Well, I bought this CD. They opened for Radiohead on the Kid A tour. A forgettable band. I like this tune though. |
| Krispian (Vancouver, BC) | Posted: Jan 11, 2013 - 23:06 Thank you for playing Beta Band! I also recommend Aliens |
| merkin_muffley (Down the rabbit hole.....) | Posted: Jul 07, 2012 - 08:34 One of my favourite songs ever. The way it builds towards the end is superb, reminds me of good times when first released. |

| jenovella70 (Willows, CA) | Posted: Jul 25, 2011 - 06:11 I have an album by Beta Band that I consider a real work of art. I LOVE the easy swagger, general lazy, yet hip feel & sort of techno-tweaked feel of this band. I think it's a perfect hybrid type of sound. The voice is reminiscent of Beck, yes, but I don't confuse them because of a different tonal quality. I really like this band a lot. |
| haresfur (Bendigo Australia) | Posted: Jun 23, 2011 - 18:01 Great movie, good book, the soundtrack works well in the film but I find I don't have much interest in listening to it on it's own. This tune is decent, though. |

| mandolin (...drifting...) | Posted: Jan 17, 2011 - 09:49 ...i had the pleasure of watching the beta band's number-one-fan perform some sort of fantastically-enthusiastic interpretive dance as they opened before a radiohead show in palo alto, back in 2001... all. by. himself. ...entertaining gesticulations, to be sure, but a bit goofy jumping up in front of the crowd like that... |

| DaveInVA (In a hovel in effluent Damnville, VA) | Posted: May 08, 2010 - 07:29 Sounds like a cross between Beck and mid career Pink Floyd, I like. Wonder if they will change their name to VHS Band? |
