That would be Sir Richard as of about two weeks ago.

Everybody in my hotel room loves this medley of songs from the second best album of all time — second only to Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band...  hope life is grand for you these days, enkay...  thank you for playing this, Radio Paradise...

the song is never ending ! I understand how iconic the Beatles have been but to me their music sounds old... I just don't get it, maybe because it's not my generation ? I simply don't relate...

Well, e.g. the guitar solo maybe produced more perfect due to technology nowadays. But the music/composition itself? "Ageless" in my opinion.

The whole sequence of songs starting with "you never give me your money" until the last  one including "her majesty" (well you could also say the complete side 2 of the LP), not only until "The End" creates "goosebumps" and shivers are going own my back. Most people in germany probably only know "Come together" or "Here comes the sun", but this is it what makes it really special in my opinion.

This is one of those:  stop what I'm doing, turn it up a bit more, and just enjoy.  Just awesome!  The "ahhhhhhh" harmony at the start of Sun King,  the changes that just seem to fit together. All the way to The End!

I know, I know, I'm in the minority, and I know  my low rating of this doesn't drop the overall 9.1 at all, 3600+ ratings, and I'm bracing for the backlash , this and a lot of the beatles stuff sucks big time and way overrated.

Not that I don't like some of their work, admire the production (the real 5th beatle) and recognize their role in RnR history, just that I like more of what they did after the band broke up.

If you had to choose, is this their greatest single song?

Or, as some would claim,is it:  "A Day in the Life"?

One of the handful of tracks played here in RP which imo rates a 10+ button.

357 out of 3763 (9%) rate this as less than a 8.  This is significantly lower than the rate of mental illness in the general population.  These people need help.  Stat.

These songs are brilliant like most Beatles songs, especially John Lennon and Paul McCartney songs and some George Harrison songs.

Can you use your wildest imagination and think of a band in the last 20 years, that could even attempt to do something like this one song, this one album, etc?

This automatically makes me stop whatever I'm doing, looking for a production deal or writing a mail, to listen and sing along. Sure fire way to stop me cold. It's almost impossible to do otherwise. A 9? Umm, that's too low. Silly songs, mostly, but genius nonetheless. Magnum opus.

Somehow the Beatles sound better on Radio Paradise! Just lovely, thanks so much :)
