Well, at least we can agree that some Bad Seeds are, in fact, good. Try to keep the negative bluster to a minimum. We get plenty of that on Fox.

Not good! Boring actually!

Sounds like cheapish stadium-rock for Floyd-fans and other grandfathers!

Goosebumps, every time. This song is timeless and should be viewed in the same way we view the great works of Beethoven and Bach.

Anyone else think PG sounds a little bit off in this version- for 1988 he should have been singing much better- there are better live versions of this song, imo. Still a great song...just can't beat the "growing up" concert dvd.

I have seen many concerts in my day(that's right I'm old)......PG is the best I've ever seen.....BUT....as he is aging he's losing some of his mobility. He's a fantastic mobile performer. His concerts are very well choreographed.

Fully sick!!! (in the good way)  So emotive in the live performance.  And, as truly talented vocalists do... The live sound is very close to the tudio version!  Tops!

I believe this track is about to be 'officially' released as part of the So 25th anniversary re-issue. A Deluxe boxed set incl remastered So plus DVD & CD of Live in Athens or, alternately, just a 3 CD set of So and the Live in Athens set.

My Amazon order, via RP, will be processed very soon.

Get the latest versions of RealAudio & Audacity (free).  Then find the song on YouTube.  You should have a Real icon next to the video to save it to a file.  It will be an MP4.  I think Audacity can open an MP4 and save as an MP3.  You can also use Audacity to truncate the extra long lead in.

I get teary EVERY time. Chills and deep breaths. YnD is incredible in this version...makes my heart cry out. Without a doubt on the most beautiful love songs ever written.

At Red Rocks last summer my love and I stood in the rain and sang it to one another. A lady behind him kept looking at us and not at the stage. Love can't be denied when expressed with such truth and honesty. I am going to go listen now.

Just awesome.  Picked up a pair of tickets for his show in San Jose later this year.  Supposed to be touring with many of the original musicians from the "So" tour...  Tony Levin is confirmed on bass for the tour.  Anyone have any other info?

It's about $130,000 a year if you enroll at Harvard these days, and you're lucky to leave there with one.
