Us and them
And after all, we're only ordinary men
Me and you
God only knows, it's not what we would choose to do
Forward he cried from the rear
And the front rank died
The General sat, and the lines on the map
Moved from side to side
Black and blue
And who knows which is which and who is who
Up and down
And in the end, it's only round and round and round
Haven't you heard it's a battle of words
The poster bearer cried
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There's room for you inside
''They're maybe gonna kill ya. So like, if you give 'em a quick, short, sharp, shock, they don't do it again. Dig it? I mean he get off light, come to think. Of rationalising it, once. It's only a difference, but why go and ruin it? I mean good manners don't cost nothing, do they, eh?'' {{ref|1}}
Down and out
It can't be helped, but there's a lot of it about
With, without
And who'll deny it's what the fighting's all about {{ref|2}}
Out of the way, it's a busy day
I've got things on my mind
For want of the price of tea and a slice
The old man died

| sphere79 (CT) | Posted: Sep 20, 2003 - 09:05 Floyd fans, do yourself a favor, Roger Waters new DVD, In the Flesh live. Go get it. Watch it, tell your friends.
I second that. A great band ( with a few Floyd alumni ) and an excellent setlist. Don't think of it as Pink Floyd ( it isn't ) think of it as the soul of Pink Floyd and you'll enjoy it. And where else are you gonna get an awesome live 17 minute rendition of Dogs on DVD? |

| The_Gingerbread_ (Corner Brook, Newfoundland) | Posted: Sep 17, 2002 - 17:23 My friends have attempted to make me sick of Floyd by insisting to play it all of the time but I also agree this is a great song off of a great album and should be only listend to every now and then. |

Actually, I consider this song one of the few classics of its era of rock. Great modulations of sound, great instrumental solos, there's nothing about this song that they didn't get right in the studio. |

| kumarihpx (Baton Rouge, LA) | Posted: Jun 17, 2002 - 14:05 No, you are not the only one. Though, I wouldn't say I loathe it because there are a couple of songs that I do like. The rest reminds me of some geeks I knew in the 70s who thought they were being deep, when actually they were just being annoying. Originally Posted by jpalembas:
