They're a jam band- so maybe they don't deliver tight little tunes;  it's SUPPOSED to be ramshackle, see... I guess you'd have had to have seen their stage show (with recommended medication prior) to really "get" RR.

One of the first things I heard when I started listening to RP.  It was like, whoa, this is really cool.  Got any more stuff like this?  Been with RP ever since.

I really like Rusted Root, but I am not sure if I would like to hear them straight for an hour or so.  They are a bit of an acquired taste, somewhat like the Talking Heads.  David Byrne has a rather unusual voice too, and it takes some folks some time to get used to his voice as well.

I know some folks on RP loves em some Rusted Root, but when I listen to the singer's voice, I can only hear Goat Boy, Goat Boy, Goat Boy.

I really like Rusted Root... and this not in any way diminishing their work, but I hear a lot of Dave Matthews in this piece.

Not my favorite track on the album (I like "Weave" and "Too Much" better), but pretty good.

Man, I used to love this band. This is so sad to hear. I expected greater things. It's almost like they got stuck in one of their own grooves and can't see beyond it.

Member of the band, either Jenn Wertz or Liz Berlin. She often harmonizes/counterpoints, etc with Michael. A great song that she really busts out on is "Sister Contine" from their "Remember" album.

Happily out of sync. This is the first Rusted Root song I've heard that didn't cause me to turn off the speakers. In fact, I actually liked it.

Thanks Bill!

Actually, the original version of this song is AWESOME (it's on Cruel Sun). This remix, however, doesn't do it justice...

Well, I get drunk with Mike (lead singer) in the local bars here in Pittsburgh. I have known them for about 12 years. One night we had a great conversation about life and such. I used to see them when they were still students at Pitt. I knew right from the start these guys were going to famous. I do feel that the lyrics can be rather wierd. Like " I want to hold my hand" After 12 years, I still get strange vibes when I hear that...I never told Mike that, Maybe I was not that drunk...He is good guy...he drives around a piece of shit Nissan.

Went to see Santana last night, and the best thing of all was that Rusted Root was opening the show. They are definitely a live act to catch. It would have been better if they were a headliner, as their set was much too short! They wound up their set with "Drum Trip" leading into "Ecstasy" which really got the crowd warmed up for Santana
