| mgambrus (West Chester, OH) | Posted: Feb 09, 2003 - 19:46 Somehow, it just seems wrong. Much like the cover of the Wall by "Luther Wright and the Wrongs". It is just wrong. I try to be open minded, but,... |
| mread (San Diego, CA) | Posted: Jan 30, 2003 - 14:47 Yeah babeeeee! BLUEGRASS ROCKS! (so to speak...) Nice little nugget to have in the mix now and then. Great cover, even if the original is a timeless classic. There's a whole series of instrumental bluegrass covers of some pretty famous acts, such as: "Pickin' on the Rolling Stones", "Pickin' on Hendrix", and even "Pickin' on Zeppelin", which actually makes sense, given J.Page's use of the mandolin. |
| tg3k (Tujunga, CA) | Posted: Jan 30, 2003 - 14:41 Yee haw! I'm down with this version. I'll add another voice to the chorus of those who'd like to hear a bit of Hayseed Dixie on RP. Bringem' on! ![]() |
| rgj13 (San Francisco (170 mi. SSW of Paradise)) | Posted: Jan 30, 2003 - 14:39 A little fun, sure--reminds me of Hayseed Dixie, a bluegrassish band that does nothing but AC/DC covers. Hilarious. In this case, I'm trying to keep an open mind to frivolity, but can't get over wishing it were the original playing. |

| Blackjack (Southern California, CA) | Posted: Dec 10, 2002 - 14:31 Hrm. I guess if you don't find this version "fun", then it just sucks. |
| zaphodb (Canada) | Posted: Dec 10, 2002 - 14:30 Shouldn't this be titled: "You Cain't Always Git What You Want?" |
| Shimmer (Bethesda, MD) | Posted: Dec 10, 2002 - 14:30 JUST SAY NO |
| robca (vancouver) | Posted: Nov 30, 2002 - 10:12 You are right, it does lose something. I love the original - it was one of those tracks that made the acoustic guitar seem sexy. But this version is quite inspired. A great example of the timeless quality of some Jagger/Richards songs. Originally Posted by mrrmaid1:

| catsoup (Euclid, OH) | Posted: Oct 10, 2002 - 09:18 Second for Hayseed Dixie. The new albumn has some real gems. |

| oufason (Dallas, TX) | Posted: Oct 10, 2002 - 09:17 Very cool cover! How about a little Hayseed / DC? |
| timcolson (Milpitas, CA) | Posted: Oct 10, 2002 - 09:16 ;) Not a huge country/bluegrass fan, but this makes me smile and tap my foot. |
