Now on your mark, get set, let's go
You got to move now before she explodes
Now look out the window and out below
Now back away from the glass
Well there she blows
The city's been leveled
The hills are in flames
The streets cracked open and they're pushing up clay
The temperature's dropped
The sky is grey
And it ain't even over
Here comes drivin' rain
It ain't me
That you feel
There's something moving around in here
Now that's blood
That's tears
This ain't a warning...
Everybody out of the water
And up on dry land
Take what you can
'Cause you won't be here again
Everybody out of the water
Now I'm treadin' high water to get back to you
Looking for a low spot or something to cling to
There's too many bodies
There's not enough room
God help me and God help you
They say nobody panic
Help is on its way
We're already on it
You got to be brave
If you can fix it now then don't make us wait
Man they ain't nobody coming
Back away from the case
That bell that you hear
Well that's hell ringing in your ears
I fear, that my dear
This ain't a warning...
Everybody out of the water
And up on dry land
Take what you can
'Cause you won't be here again
Well I loved you then
Like I love you now
That wont matter anyhow
Well this is the new frontier
Everybody out of the water
Now I'm looking up and the shit keeps coming
Like shooting ducks in a barrel of honey
Got to learn how to pray
Love won't be enough
Admit it now: your information sucks
As I slip
Down in
I think of us someplace high on a mountain
Smoke clears
The fog lifts
Little by little we rebuild again
Until then...
Everybody out of the water
And up on dry land
Take what you can
'Cause you won't be here again
Now I loved you then
Like I love you now
It won't matter any how
Well This is the new frontier
Everybody out of the water
Everybody out of the water
Everybody out of the water
| leathepea (Hickory, NC) | Posted: Aug 28, 2008 - 05:54 good groove, I give it a 7, but the 4 day weekend starting tomorrow may have something to do with it. |

Thank you for enlightening us all as to what does and doesn't belong on RP. |

| auburntigerrich (Mesa, AZ) | Posted: May 14, 2007 - 07:50 Erm... decent... but much too much Bob-rapping. I'm actually slightly surprised that they're still going after guitarist Michael Ward left. Points for Rami Jaffee still rocking out on the organ. |

| faramir (Austin, TX) | Posted: Apr 12, 2007 - 19:36 I gotta say, that was the best thing I've ever heard from them. I didn't believe myself at first when I thought "is that little Dylan???" Maybe I liked it b/c I'm a Patty Griffin fan . |
| siandbeth (Santa Cruz California) | Posted: Mar 12, 2007 - 13:20 I actually think this sounds more Kid Rock than Faith No More. I like it and I vote. |

| jules44 (Sunny North Carolina) | Posted: Oct 15, 2006 - 14:06 Always good to hear WALLFLOWERS.......nice theme set Bill. |
| Dave_Mack (My own private underwear) | Posted: Sep 01, 2006 - 14:54 Amazed at how much this resembles Patty Griffin's "Wiggley Fingers". I do like it though. |
| teeyodi (Durham, NC) | Posted: Sep 01, 2006 - 14:53 Excellent Bob and Jacob Sandwich...but since I'm xtian free then I would throw away the middle and keep the bread. Go Dylans! |
| biodiesel (Native America) | Posted: Sep 01, 2006 - 14:52 Wow! It has been a long time since this song was played!!!! |
| desnos (A million miles away) | Posted: Sep 01, 2006 - 14:52 A very talented band, and a songwriter that far better than anyone might have expected when considering the shadow he grew up under... this is fine cut and a great album for a band that I personally miss... |
| Bocephus (Boulder, CO) | Posted: Sep 01, 2006 - 14:52 meh..... |
| Shimmer (Bethesda, MD) | Posted: Sep 05, 2003 - 21:28 I like the menace of the title line. Not great, but certainly not as bad as some people are saying. |
| jscott (memphis, tn) | Posted: Aug 29, 2003 - 17:28 extremely mediocre |
| Lupin_III (Lake Ronkonkoma, NY) | Posted: Aug 19, 2003 - 14:02 He's the Mel Blanc Jr. of musicdom: a shining example of offspring doggedly avoiding the talent and skill of their forebears. |
| chlobug (Lexington, KY) | Posted: Aug 19, 2003 - 14:01 zzzzzzz... wake me when a better song is played |
| mtber (Midvale, UT) | Posted: Aug 19, 2003 - 14:01 It's fun to hear something a little louder every once in a while. Give us some more! |
| LEFTY6 (DOWN WELL TRODDEN CORRIDOR INTO THE VALLEY OF STEEL) | Posted: Aug 06, 2003 - 08:33 Seem to be developing their own sound and getting away from Daddy's influences. |
| redeyespy (SoFL) | Posted: Aug 06, 2003 - 08:31 Pretty standard in all departments, but STILL a fun rocker. Leagues ahead of their usual mediocrity. |
| catsoup (Euclid, OH) | Posted: Jul 01, 2003 - 14:43 From the "Song waiting for a disaster movie" department... |
| ymcagymnast (Secret Hideaway) | Posted: Jun 26, 2003 - 12:26 I love this song!! :) |
| bakedjake (Cleveland, OH - 2435 miles east of Paradise, CA) | Posted: Jun 26, 2003 - 12:23 Agreed. It's just okay. |
| halcatus (Los Angeles, CA) | Posted: Jun 26, 2003 - 12:22 First thought this stuff was too derivative to get in to. The more I hear, the more I like it.. Good songwriters... who wrote... Young Dylan? |

| tg3k (Tujunga, CA) | Posted: Feb 11, 2003 - 15:22 Add me to the list of those who like this cut. Dylan the younger seems to have assimilated his dad's good points, while at the same time becoming his own man and own voice. Plus, the song, simple as it is, still rocks. |
| spoiledsuperstar (Houston, TX) | Posted: Feb 11, 2003 - 15:19 it's okay |

| Ineptune (Chicago, IL) | Posted: Jan 17, 2003 - 08:03 Surprise, surprise! I've heard some things off the new release that could only elicit the response, "what were they thinking??!?" This is the first time I've heard something of theirs that i like since I got tired of Bringing Down The Horse |

| os4 (Secret Hideaway (USA)) | Posted: Dec 12, 2002 - 09:22 More, please. I have not heard this particular song before. Not their best, but certainly better than others' efforts. Dylan the Younger is definitely his own man. Enough shades of his father, which is a plus in my book. As others have stated, Jakob is more credible than a poser like Springsteen (blah). |

Yeah, when old guys get all worked up and sweaty on stage it seems like their attempt to show they still are brimming with testosterone, when I think it just shows they can afford a good personal trainer. Jakob Dylan doesn't need to prove anything. He's got the pedigree, the chops, has proven himself a good songwriter and performer. And girls like him. Okay, I'm jealous. :p |

| radiomao (Phoenix, AZ) | Posted: Oct 22, 2002 - 11:12 Haven't heard (or at least haven't noticed) this track before - like it a lot! This track sounds a little like his dad (and I mean that in a good way). I saw Bob Dylan in concert last night and he put on a surprisingly good show. What was most inspiring to me was how well he was received by the extremely mixed crowd at the Arizona State Fair, where the concert's average seats were free with the price of admission to the Fair. On a Monday night, to a nearly packed Coliseum crowd aged 5 to 65, he got the whole house rocking and had two standing ovations! I just went there to see the "legend" and ended up seeing a great performance! Bill, can you play a little classic Dylan for us today? Thanks! ![]() |
