One of the Massive Attack members was charged with child pornography, but then cleared due to insufficient evidence. Still, have not been able to enjoy Massive Attack since.  Morcheeba is far superior for the same genre, with a less depressing sound.

I like Massive Attack but this is not one of their better songs. Add to it the nauseating stylings of Sinead O'Connor and it enters the realm of god awful.

..incredablé (? is that right?..whatever)..tuneage attracts at the outset, then sinead seals the deal..sweetness!..

Looking at the wiki, both Tricky and Daddy G were out of the picture.  This one was all 3D.

Awesome song. I was wondering if Sinnead(sp?) had a new song, but it's an old Massive Attack album. I'm definitely buying this one. Sooooo cool. Up there with "The Heart's a Lonely Hunter."

Funny, I was just sitting down to write that I think Bjork could have made this "better", but I see I've already done so!

I like this fine but was thinking it would be amazing, too, if Bjork sang it.

On an absolute scale it's Ho-Hum. On a scale relative to the rest of M.A.'s work it is completely weak.

People who call her that only listen to what The Media says about her and have never sat and listened to her singing - especially the material she's done with Massive Attack and Afro Celt Sound System. She is an AMAZING vocalist. I couldn't possibly give the tiniest scintilla of a flying f**k what her politics are or how she feels about the Pope - she sings marvelously and music with her in it is worth having around. And she's fun to look at too.

Yeah, good to hear a Bristolian accent in a sci-fi flick, denied for years since Dave Prowse was dubbed over with James Earl Jones in Star Wars...

Easily worth a second look. There are times when Sinead mixes well, and times she doesn't... she has always been a perfect mix with MA.

I wonder if the rest of the album tastes just as good?

Most Excellent. Thanks, B&R.

Love the lyrics except for the "pray" line. But anyway, great lyrics.

What Your Soul Sings

Don’t be afraid
Open your mouth and say
Say what your soul sings to you

Your mind can never change
Unless you ask it to
Lovingly re-arrange
The thoughts that make you blue
The things that bring you down
Only do harm to you
And so make your choice joy
The joy belongs to you

And when you do
You'll find the one you love is you
You'll find you
Love you

Don’t be ashamed no
To open your heart and pray
Say what your soul sings to you

So no longer pretend
That you can’t feel it near
That tickle on your hand
That tingle in your ear
Oh ask it anything
Because it loves you dear
It’s your most precious king
If only you could hear

And when you do
You’ll find the one you need is you
You’ll find you
Love you

Massive Attack has the fine tradition of including at least 2 or 3 songs on every album with some guest female vocalist, incl. Sinead, Shara Nelson, Nicolette, Elizabeth Frasier from Cocteau Twins, among others...

And the greatest of them all, Tracy Thorn from Everything but the Girl (which I have yet to hear on RP).

I hadn't heard this song before, but a certain sound in the drums gave it away as Massive Attack (otherwise, I thought it was a clone).
