| Zep | Posted: Mar 07, 2008 - 10:34 Love the "duck and cover" sampling. You young'uns don't remember that, we had to practice that drill in school. If the big one comes down, duck under your desk and cover your head. Like a little school desk will protect you from Mr H Bomb eh? But that's how it was, we were supposed to prepare for it by knowing what to do when it fell. Kind of depressing to think about today, that in that era, our gov was preparing for the response as opposed top preventing the damn thing in the first place. But I digress. Go U-Tube "duck and cover" and there are some of the cutesy animated 50s videos out there, complete with the comforting voice over. |

Destroyed? Ouch! But I'll go along with IGNORED. |
| Euphemism (Jax, FL) | Posted: Jan 12, 2004 - 05:58 About halfway through this song, I began to hallucinate my skull was being used as the rhythm section for this song. I admit, there's a time for 'clever'. Mexican Radio is clever. Frontier Psychiatry is clever. This song isn't clever. It's 'my God, what is that THING?'. There is never time for that. |

I did too, until the same lyric was repeated countless times with no variation whatsoever and then it became annoying FAST! |

| justlistening (Irvine, CA) | Posted: Apr 02, 2003 - 13:43 fizzle, lose steam, fade out of focus of attention. |
| dugjohnson (Brooklyn Hts, OH) | Posted: Mar 30, 2003 - 11:16 The song started out in an interesting direction, then wandered around in a circle, fell on the floor, quivered twice and died quietly. Either I don't get it :???: or it just wasn't that great. |
| cobbler (Montreal) | Posted: Mar 09, 2003 - 13:55 Loved the tune so much I bought the CD and heard it again. The lyrics (translated on the CD) and samples used are as relevant today as they were during the cold war. I think that the tune is a stoke of genius and the beat is totally addictive! |

| jpfueler (Kenner, LA) | Posted: Feb 07, 2003 - 10:29 of course if you grew up where I did,(near an Air Force base and iron ore shipping) Duck and Cover just made a more compact pile of ashes! Would that be an Occidental death or injury? |
| trapnine (San Marcos, CA) | Posted: Feb 05, 2003 - 16:19 Nice beat! Duck and Cover! |
