What else should I be
All apologies
What else should I say
Everyone is gay
What else could I write
I don't have the right
What else should I be
All apologies
In the sun
In the sun I feel as one
In the sun
In the sun
I'm married
Buried
Buried
I wish I was like you
Easily amused
Find my nest of salt
Everything's my fault
I'll take all the blame
Aqua sea-foam shame
Sunburn with freezer-burn
Choking on the ashes of her enemy
In the sun
In the sun I feel as one
In the sun
In the sun
I'm married
Buried
Buried
All in all is all we all are
All in all is all we all are
All in all is all we all are
All in all is all we all are
All in all is all we all are
All in all is all we all are
| sharkey (Toronto - Ontario - Canada -Just passing through) | Posted: Apr 02, 2010 - 10:02 Sinead O'Connor, Irish musician and abuse-victim, was so incensed by Benedict's fake empathy, she wrote a fiery article for the Washington Post where she said:

| calypsus_1 | Posted: Oct 07, 2008 - 11:44 This Lady-Singer congregates all the predicates and parchments that a singer can have, including your strong personality. For everything and because i like of hearing and appreciate your work, Tankyou Ms. Sinéad Marie Bernadette O' Connor. God Bless You! - |

| Iago (Portland, OR) | Posted: Nov 03, 2004 - 20:06 Again, I say this is THE WORST POSSIBLE version of this song. It is perhaps one of the worst covers EVER. Kurt is the only thing that made the original worth listening to. |

| Mack (London) | Posted: Oct 20, 2004 - 02:18 I ask myself, what would I think of this if I'd never heard Nirvana's superb original? Answer: I probly wouldn't give it a second thought. |

A great song is a great song! |
| japanmoran (Colorado Springs, CO) | Posted: Oct 05, 2004 - 08:07 "Pretty cute for a bald chick" -classic! |
| ksb (Oakland, CA) | Posted: Sep 20, 2004 - 17:47 I like it. She's replaced the angst with compassion. Nice. |

Gotta be in the right mood for either, I guess. Not even in the same city. Tori's cover at least replaced the anger with sadness and desperation. |
| cataloger (Fayettnam, AR) | Posted: May 18, 2004 - 15:13 I think I hate it because she over-enunciates everything except when she's being blatantly irish-sounding. |
| ArbiterOfGoodTaste (Seattle WA) | Posted: May 18, 2004 - 15:13 Boooooooooorrrrinnnnngggggg..... |
| TheWizardOfUhs (Hyannisport, MA) | Posted: May 05, 2004 - 11:27 This sucks worse than William Shatner's remake of "Mr. Tambourine Man". "Mr. Tambourine Maaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnn!" |
| OCDHG (10-E-C) | Posted: Apr 22, 2004 - 13:52 Ouch. |

| drH | Posted: Dec 31, 2003 - 11:36 Truly awful. |
| hyperfish (Athens, OH) | Posted: Dec 31, 2003 - 11:23 I think she's made this song her own. Very fitting. |
| Platypus (here, now) | Posted: Dec 10, 2003 - 21:33 i'm a huge Nirvana fan... but like gilmorecairns said below - it's an apples and oranges situation here. i'm really diggin this version a lot on its own. doesnt compare to the original, but it doesnt need to either. she has made it into an entirely different song with new meaning. very cool. |

I completely agree with you. It's nice and all but the passion and angst is definitely missing. This makes for a very mediocre cover in my opinion. |
| Voxx (Toronto) | Posted: Dec 10, 2003 - 21:30 She sings Sharp all the time.. |
| Mot (53562) | Posted: Oct 30, 2003 - 15:00 Blech. Sometimes I think there are just too many covers. I find myself in one of those times right now. I don't mind Sinead at all. I like much of her work. This just fell short because it's a lifeless cover. |
| DD joe1 | Posted: Oct 30, 2003 - 14:59 Not her best but still a voice to apreciate.... |
| gilmorecairns | Posted: Oct 20, 2003 - 09:36 Apples and Oranges to compare the two versions, you must accept each for what it is. A beautiful song. (a time for angst, a time for sadness...) :goodvibes: |

she has a tendency to ding very sadly, i've noticed. her music has a sad feel to it. perhaps she changed it from its angst-ridden roots into a sad kinda song. it's not my favorite work of either artist - but it's okay... meh. |

| skindy (Albany, NY) | Posted: Sep 09, 2003 - 12:21 Hmm... never heard this cover before. Not as good as the original, but interesting nonetheless. I agree with a previous poster who noted that you can finally understand the lyrics in this version! This song aside, I'm having a sublime RP moment... there have been 8 songs in a row that have been really, really divine. |
| ANNE_MARIE (The Ozark Mountains) | Posted: Sep 09, 2003 - 12:20 I have appreciate the artist and the song but together...they kinda suck! |

| dignan2 (New York, NY) | Posted: Jul 10, 2003 - 06:36 I love her voice, but she murdered this song and then danced on it's grave. |
| catsoup (Euclid, OH) | Posted: May 30, 2003 - 10:49 Another Nirvana song that you can finally understand and appreciate the lyrics, once someone covers it. Grunge was such a waste. All that brilliant writing, and everyone has marbles in their mouth. |

| Notelrac (Raleigh, NC) | Posted: May 30, 2003 - 10:48 I really like the segues and set selection on RP. Going from Wierd Al's "Smells Like Nirvana" to this track is the sort of inspired programming you just can't hear over the air any more. |
