Vivaldi's Summer played on the winter solstice?  I see what you did there.

The only reason I did not give this a "10" is because there is an even-better-than-Telarc Deutsche Grammophon "The Four Seasons" CD featuring the Israeli Philharmonic, Zubin Mehta conducting, and the Israeli All-stars:  Itzhak Pearlman, Pinchas Zuckerman, Isaac Stern and Shlomo Mintz.  Awesome, totally 5-stars!!

Dude. We got that same playlist in 2017. He's not toying with us. He's rocking!

Dude. This. Is. Awesome!

Another recording to check out is by Il Giardino Armonico. They play on period instruments and on this one it sounds like they're shredding them!

Didn't care for the Moody Blues tune before this one, so I hit the PSD button, and missed a 10. {#Frustrated}

I can just imagine the reaction of the string section when they were first handed the sheet music for this:
"Hey, can someone score Antonio some valium?"

ROFL! Almost as hysterical as the 18 people gave this a "sucko-barfo" rating. Except we know that you were joking.

funny story:  some local writer (either the globe or boston magazine) used to always refer to him as "C.J. Ozawer"  making fun of the boston brahmins and their silly accent (not the wikkid pissa accent i have or the ones you hear in those horrible imitations from hollywood)

One Boston DJ (it may have been the majestically rambling Robert J. Lurtsema) claimed that a townie called in a request during one show for "I'm Inclined to Knock Music." The DJ eventually figured out that the guy meant "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik" by Mozart.

Fantastic song and a very good recording. Gives me chills. Every. Time.

Another awesome version is by Il Giardino Armonico. They play on period instruments and when they do this movement you swear that they are going to shatter those instruments. Great version.

Thank you, RP, for being so darned eclectic!! BTW, my son and daughter-in-law moved to Chico which is near Paradise. Next time we're up there we may have to find the fabled Radio Paradise studios and get a selfie or something. :)
