| jstevep00 (Lancaster, PA) | Posted: Mar 09, 2005 - 08:43 I like this song and the other one Bill plays (Sister Surround) so I went out on a limb and bought the cd. I don't know if I've ever bought a cd based on 2 songs and not been disappointed. The cd is totally underwhelming. It's not terrible, it's just so...so...mediocre. The lyrics seem like they were written by a high schooler and the music just sounds like other bands I like better. I haven't given up on it, but it doesn't make me want to go out and buy the new one they're coming out with (coincidentally their new song from the new cd "Bigtime" also rocks, but if you listen to the lyrics it just doesn't say much, just rhymes a lot). |

antonym: http://www.radioparadise.com/modules.php?name=songinfo&song_id=1287 I think it has more than three chords in it. I think it's bombastic! And equally amazing that these guys are Swedes. Kind of BTO meets Volvo. :) |

Please do and enjoy. It won't change my taste. /me just wonders what the value of a 10 would be if this get's a 10 ... Ok, allow me to go off on a tangent here. Ignore this post at your leisure, folks. :) Tux, reading your posts has amused and bewildered me equally, hence my previous post in jest. No offense meant. I just find it curious and interesting how differently we all listen to and experience certain songs, and how we tend to misunderstand each other when discussing preferences in music. Now for some guesswork. Judging by your various posts you seem to be of the more analytical kind, carefully rating each song along a somewhat absolute personal scale. At least that is how I have interpreted your posts around here. Me on the other hand rate the songs on a more emotional level, I just realized the other day that almost all of my song ratings are 10s, and the occasional 9 or 8. It can be argued what the value of a 10 would be if all songs are rated that way, but I whenever I hear a song I like I percieve it as a "10 song" just because of the way it makes me feel at that very moment. If a song does not evoke any feelings in me, I let it pass without a rating - it bears no significance to me whatsoever. There are not many songs I dislike around here, but I have rated them thereafter when I felt it was necessary. Disclaimer:I am certainly not saying that one persons musical preferences (me) win over someone elses preferences (you), just that people are different. Surprise, surprise. Well, that is my thoughts on the matter. It is certainly possible I am completely wrong about all this, so shoot me at dawn. ;) |

*nods in agreement with my fellow countryman* Indeed," Welcome to the infant freebase" is a modern psychedelic swedish groove-rock milestone. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. ;) |

Some of it is kinda quasi-dark side of the moon. One song has some Travis picking, like dark side. I bought it but haven't listened to the whole thing too much yet. Like this and one other cut especially-the other one Bill is already playing. I'll let you know, but I have some doubts about some of the tunes on it. |

| gstark33 (Boulder Creek (223mi SSW of RP), CA) | Posted: Sep 16, 2003 - 17:22 I uploaded this in June and was 'Sorry'ed. The album is Behind the Music - Sister Surround is quite good too. I uploaded that and 21st Century Rip Off... Maybe they are worth another look. I like several others of the CD as well. They remind me of Moody Blues. |
