Apparently, "it's easy to pretend" that you are The Cure.

Definitely The Cure crossed with...ah, well, now I can't hear the vocalist anymore..., but crossed with some band the vocalist sounds like he came from. Definitely a "6."

Right on... a Goo Goo Dolls cover band at that. (and as we all know the Goo Goo Dolls are a bad Replacements cover band). This is only the first time I've heard this 20second cycle song-- I'm not really hearing "the Cure" thing, and I used to listen to quite a bit of the Cure (the old stuff).

Goo Goo Dolls? Doesn't remind me of anything I've heard on the radio by them. As for The Cure, old stuff it does not really sound like. Listen to the guitar work on the non-singles from Wish in particular and you'll hear it. The singing too is reminscent of Robert from those days.

this sounds like the Cure, for sure -- the melody, the guitars -- the everything, almost, except Robt Smith's vocals, which might have improved this one...

Apparently you have not listened to early Cure, flooble!

Nothing new and original, but nice sound.

It has a good beat and you can dance to it. I'll give it a 7

Thought this was an old Cure track that they found in the vault.

The beginning guitar on this one is now reminding me a bit of Idlewild.... so Robert Smith fronting Idlewild, perhaps?

Not a BAD thing, mind you.

Not just the singing, but the guitar work too. Very reminiscent of album cuts off of Wish. I came to the comments for this song just to see if anyone else thought so =).

THey do sound a little like the Cure, but there is more if I dare say it, country/folkiness to this band.. Great stuff nonetheless.

I'm glad to see the other posts - I thought it might just be me. 20 Second Cycle does a nice job of letting us know they're Cure fans. Decent song, though, cause I'm a Cure fan, too.

That one's pretty "THE CURE"ish though. Still a decent song.
