Heard it directly after U2 (Fezz etc) and hoped this song was still U2 : it's so much better then most of the U2 "no line on the horizon stuff".

perhaps better to not mention U2 in a South -comment, South do perfectly well as they are

I'd have to travel East to see South. Unless they travel West on tour. {#Ask}

I guess for the same reason so many singers felt like they had to copy Robert Plant's screaming singing style. My husband tells me that I wouldn't dislike Plant's style so much if it weren't for all the cheesy screaming singers that followed in his footsteps.

Reminds me of a possible rendition of a quote in a movie:

What?

My gorge shall rise again.

I tend to agree with the U2 soundalike comments.I liked that sound the first 4 or 5 times I heard it but it really got old a long time ago .

I guess I'm just going to have to hear this song a few more times. I basically slagged it 10 months ago, but this time I 'liked' it a little better and am bumping it up to a 5.

Bought this CD used last year. There's one other song that gets played here (I think) that has a melody even better than this one. Can't think of the name of it right now. But overall, not a bad CD (especially since I only paid 3 bucks for it).

I'm afraid I don't know them. Who do they sound like? ;-)

Do you give directions to your hometown by telling people to go to your hometown? We all need mile markers and directions. Comparing one new band to four old ones is the best way to do this.

That said, if Tux is auto-muting this, it must sound like Radiohead. :-D Likeable tune.

In addition to the other bands mentioned earlier, I hear a trace of At the Drive-In too(some of the driving guitar part), albeit a much gentler take.
