![]() They're Everywhere! (2003) [ larger cover art ] |
I'm a paranoid schizophrenic
With surround sound speakers
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
I hooked my cell phone
To a megaphone
To my headphone
And I'm still alone
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
And I'd like to talk to you right now
But it's me on the other line
I'll call you back
When the weather man
On the news gives me the sign
And I know you think
They're all out to get you
But they're really out to get me
Can't you see
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
I'm a millitant environmentalist
In a Ford Exploder
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
I'm a xenophobic tapiocaphobe
And a claustrophobic agoraphobe
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
And I'd like to talk to you right now
But it's me on my other mind
I'll call you back when the spaceship lands
In 1949
And I know you think they're all out to get you
But they're really out to get me
Can't you see
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
I'm a bipedal omnivoric semi-simian
Who is always mating
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
And I'm chewing up the whole planet
And I'm procreating
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
And I'd like to talk to you right now
But it's time to procreate
I'll call you back when my head's cut off
But of course that will be too late
And I know you think they're all out to get you
But they're really out to get me
Wheeeeeeeeee!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!
They're everywhere!

Not quite as clever or musically talented as John & John (IMHO), but this song isn't bad. Some funny lyrics; apparently there is a humor-deficiency among some of the critics here. Cool cover art too. |
| natural_tools (Dallas, TX) | Posted: Apr 29, 2010 - 15:21 Wow, lots of negatives on this one. Come on people, it's ok to like a song because it's silly and fun. |
| tnt_thomas (Sitting cozy In Tolerant) | Posted: Apr 29, 2010 - 15:21 Here's to all those tapioca-phobes, who are indeed under every rock! |
| akousa (Cleveland, OH) | Posted: Apr 29, 2010 - 15:20 Maybe it's me, but this sounds like an electrified Loudon Wainwright III. Not that that's a bad thing.... |
| Shesdifferent (Just visiting this planet this is not my home) | Posted: Apr 29, 2010 - 15:20 Funny....but its not the Aliens.....It's the government and BIG CORPORATIONS..... |
| RadioDoc (Chicagoland) | Posted: Feb 25, 2010 - 10:02 Wow...over five years between plays. Can hardly hear the vocal over the dust cloud. Just as well. 5 |

Gracious! Lighten up people. This is hysterically funny. |

| epay34 (somewhere in texas,USA) | Posted: May 25, 2004 - 13:58 not really listenting to the lyrics much, but...not crazy about these vocals. |
| Steelhead | Posted: May 12, 2004 - 09:09 Apparently I'm in the minority, but I like it....... Sounds like this would be a very fun group to see in person as well. |

| ndanger666 (Lost in the Ozone Again) | Posted: Apr 29, 2004 - 08:52 This song is mis-titled. It should be" It's Nowhere!" |
| pixidrizzl (St. Louis, MO) | Posted: Apr 29, 2004 - 08:51 This puts me in the mind of They Might Be Giants. Probably the vocals for the most part. I haven't made up my mind about it just yet, though. Upon scanning the other comments...apparently I'm not alone in my observation! |
| Pandora (Leaf Nation) | Posted: Apr 20, 2004 - 09:04 For a novelty album, nothing beats Jack Black's Tenacious D. It's funny and it rocks. |

| Platypus (here, now) | Posted: Apr 07, 2004 - 15:38 the more i hear this song, the more amatuerish it sounds. |
| masterhead | Posted: Apr 07, 2004 - 15:35 Lame, easy, countruish..do not play again... |
| GregX59 (Omaha, NE) | Posted: Mar 22, 2004 - 08:14 Sounds a lot like the Drive By Truckers, another band worth playing. |

But I have known real schizophrenics and the reality of their pain, so as a subject of humor it leaves a faint bad taste. | bluedot (Long Beach, CA) | Posted: Mar 02, 2004 - 00:12 this guy has talent. too bad his humorous satire is so lame and dumb. i think he's trying to say something ironically incisive, but it's not working. maybe he'll grow into someone who can communicate a message to the general populace. that would be a good thang. |
| K | Posted: Feb 27, 2004 - 12:05 My first rating was a "6", mainly for the novelty effect. It dropped to 4 at the second listening, then to 2. It's now a 1. When are you adding negative notes Bill? ;) |

| Illustr8r | Posted: Oct 15, 2003 - 10:09 This song is inTERMINable. "Stress" was ten times the song this is. "They're everywhere" is not something that should be repeated ad nauseum in a song. This is giving me a headache. |
