I could have replied to several recent comments and picked this one because ultimately it's a similar message to mine; great groove on this track and I really should check out the entire album.  Based on the title of the album (You Gotta Go There to Come Back) and of this track, it's a theme I'm fond of; heck with it....I'm bumping my 8 to a 9!  PEACE and Long Live RP!!

Local PBS played this track over stock footage of people having fun in Orange County, CA; just before I would sit down with my Mom and her parents on my lunch breaks to watch Huell Howser. A silly reason to vote up a song... but this track is one of my touchstones to before my grandparents passed away - so I'll always thank Bill for spinning it here. :,-)

Well put.  This cut is awesome — I love it.  I heard the 1st 3 notes and knew it straight off.  Earlier today, RP laid down some Morning Jackets and now this; these bands are really fantasitico, yet have somehow missed the mainstream.  RP saves the day...again.

This entire album is strong. Got turned on to Stereophonics when they opened for Bowie in Scranton, PA, on his last tour in 2004. They were even better live!

I love everything about this song. I love the vocals, the melancholy -- yet not sad -- way it makes me feel, and the lyrics. I like the way it fades out at the end. I love that it's a good pop song with a little angst and wistfulness on the side.

I turn it up every time.

The last time I heard this set (The The followed by Stereophonics) it was hard to listen to- two songs intimately linked to exes.

Now it raises a smile.

I may be better.

Well, I'm stone cold sober this morning, and I love it, too.

The segue from The The?  "This could be the day my life will surely change" moves into "maybe tomorrow I'll find my way home".

This is daft. First The The, a song I'll always associate with an ex, and now this, a song for another ex. I dread to think what Bill will play next...

Is there a pattern here?
