This song has ceased growing on me, and now it just kind of drones on and on and doesn't really go anywhere. I feel like if the end had built to something, I might have enjoyed it more.

I am a big fan of DCFC and I'll always remember that I first heard them on RP.

I live in the middle of the Atlantic, so I love the title and the lyrics.  There is just something about DCFC's vibe that gets me every time.  Only saw them live on one occasion, and they were tight and polished.

It really annoyed me this morning, too (of course I'm having an annoying morning anyway). I hadn't rated it, but was generous and gave it a 4.

I still pretty much take a pass on this band, but I have so much respect that they named themselves after the strip club band in Magical Mystery Tour.

Love this song.  Introduced to it when I saw them live in St. Louis at the Pageant.  GREAT Show!

I believe that's a 4/4 beat on the snare drum.  Good tune.

I like this a lot but the background sounds like someone running around an impossible Escher stairs set up and never getting anywhere....mildly annoying.

I love DCFC, but having had that exact experience recently, I avoid that track (What Sarah Said) for now.  Too painful.  (I find Transatlanticism difficult, too, but tolerable).

Having said that, RP could use a lot more DCFC.

It's like when my foot goes to sleep. There's nothing you can do to "wake it up" but just let time pass. And when it does wake up, you forgotten about it ever being asleep. That's this song.

Death Cab For Cutie - Transatlanticism
Counting Crows - Round Here
Hot Tuna - Water Song
Yo-Yo Ma & Friends - Here and Heaven

Great existential sequence Bill...reminds me of walking on the beach in winter; stark, empty, lonely, beautiful, viscous...

This has been my favorite DCFC song for many years and my daughter has always said that "What Sarah Said" was her favorite. I had heard that song before , but I never really paid much attention to it (the video is pretty emo). It came on my MP3 player at work Thursday and something in the lyrics caught my attention-

And it came to me then that every plan is a tiny prayer to father time...

I went to lyrics.com and read the entire song

OMFG someone needs to upload that song here. It's not on the playlist and it is SO gorgeous and heartbreaking. For anyone that has ever done a deathbed vigil with a loved one, I've just never heard or read anything that captures that experience so perfectly.Amazing.
