I'm going to upload San Francisco Girls.

You and I seem to have had a lot of the same formative musical experiences.  I'm guessin it's the Michigan/SW Ontario proximity.

My hypothesis is that if you're from that part of the world you're gonna love Grand Funk, Alice Cooper, and Bob Seger, even if yer not sure why.

The Samples are so cheerful and infectious. They had a following that paralleled Dave Matthews Band followers in the 90s. Anyone have any recent word on this band?

I can hear chunks of Men at Work in there.
Live several others I dig the EBow, the tune is a bit too repetitive though.

Haven't heard this one from them. Not them at their best as far as I am concerned. How 'bout playing "Buffalo herds and Windmills"? I LOVE that song.

The EBow is a little hand-held, battery powered device which creates an electromagnetic force that causes a guitar string to vibrate, instead of the usual strumming or plucking. Informative but typically scattered Wikipedia article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-Bow

Best band to come out of Boulder, Colorado IMO. They started out doing Police covers and originals that sounded just like the Police. Then at some point, they really got good on their instruments, and started adding some jazz improv to their songs and took off to a whole other high level of composition and musicianship. Nice guys too, and their lyrics are spiritual and environmentalist. Good music you can sway dance to, and bliss out on, and subtle enough to keep your attention.

That's very interesting. I was about to say it reminded me of a Stewart Copeland solo record I have.
Neat tune...gave it a 7.

Adding to the VT / CO thing: The current version of the Samples (the only original member left is Sean Kelly) is actually back in Vermont and have been for a few years.

Also, for those of you who like these guys, Sean acoustic has always been one of my favorite incarnations of their music, so I recommend the CD / DVD "Seventeen" for anyone interested....
