Dear Bill,
There's a big male deep bass voice singing "hubba hubba hubba hubba hubba" at me in a silly tone, probably wearing a huge cowboy hat and a big mustache, and I'm really enjoying it.

Should I seek help?

Thanks,
Happy in Holland

Duh. Read the news lately? Evidence that armageddon is nigh is overwhelming.

Love this set though.

Very rare to hear two Dr. Demento songs in a row on RP, rare but not bad...

Love this tune! And always reminds me of the animation that was done several years ago (think I saw it on an animation series called 'Eye Drops' on TechTV). Thanks for playing this, Bill.

Saw these guys at the old Sidetrack Cafe, they were SO MUCH fun. Nothing like the light side of music once in a while. Country Dick came into the crowd and got everyone to sit around him like a campfire setting and well, we sang a couple campfire songs.

Too bad Country Dick is no longer with us.

Damn I miss tgoing to the Beat Farmers shows... one of a kind.

The Pleasure Barons?

Dave Alvin did a stint as guitarist with X, but I wouldn't refer to him as THE guitarist from X. If you know what I mean.

You've gotta hand it to someone who can write a song where gargling works into the song rather well. I wonder how many takes they needed when recording that? "Yea, lemme try it again, but I need some more listerine.."

I'm holding the CD from that ensemble right here, and they make no mention of a band name, just Country Dick. It also included porn starlet Candye Kane (she says " Country Dick was the only man who could make me blush" in the liner notes).

I too miss the Beat Farmers something fierce, even though I never got to see them live. RIP.
