Does not sound like he has a relationship with God.

i don't care who he's trying to sound like - that breathy vocal just makes me want to smack him. Too bad, 'cause it's a nice enough tune.

Check him out on the song "The Whole Shebang" where he's channeling Bowie. His ability to sound like Lennon and Bowie says to me that he's got some amazing pipes, otherwise he'd sound like . . . Bob Dylan.

I've just dropped from 6 to three, and that is not because I don't like Oracle (wich is a nice expensive product for end users, but should be forbidden for the sake of system administrators).

It is nice to listen to. But only once. Once a year that is. More is overplaying it.

I'll be a Radio Paradise fan as long as you play Grant Lee. He's totally under-rated and Grant Lee Buffalo's Vancouver show was what smart rock and roll should sound like: loud, confident, melodic, and innovative.

Hello fellow listeners:

I have been a dedicated fan of Grant Lee Phillips for the past three years. I have managed to collect three of his solo albums (Ladies' Love Oracle, Mobilize and Virginia Creeper) and one double CD set from the former Grant Lee Buffalo (Gems from the Vault...) ... this guy is phenomenal... lyrically and melodically... NEVER disappoints me. I have attended 3 live shows---- I sometimes feel lucky- when the venues are rather small and intimate... but in the back of my mind--- I know this guy should be a millionaire...

then my nickname took wings: beautifuldreamer
(the name of one of my all time favorite songs from Mobilize)

at any rate--- I'll get to the point--- I just wanted to share my opinion and the lyrics to this beautiful song (I'll also try to remember to post lyrics whenever I hear one of his songs... and no I'm not his agent!)

Nothin' Is For Sure-
Grant Lee Phillips:

There's a tug at my heart
Like a rope it's pulling
Out on the horizon
But I've no way of knowing
Where to start

Nothing is for sure no sleep still in my eyes
Fumbling for the door oh she doesn't like to face the morning light
Nothing is for sure oh as I begin my day
Glasses are a blur as my world's about to spin the other way

Staring at the ceiling
I can see to heaven
But only when I'm willing
So I pray for the strength
To begin again again

Nothing is for sure no sleep still in my eyes
Fumbling for the door oh she doesn't like to face the morning light
Nothing is for sure oh as I begin my day
Glasses are a blur as my world's about to spin the other way

Spin me the other way
I've got to learn not to say always
Spin me the other way
People on the other half got no worries

Nothing is for sure no sleep still in my eyes
Fumbling for the door oh she doesn't like to face the morning light
Nothing is for sure no as I begin my day
Glasses are a blur as my world's about to spin the other way
Nothing is for sure oh and nothing is for sure
Nothing is for sure oh and nothing is for sure

Spin me the other way
I've got to learn not to say always
