The energy, talent, creativity, and discipline combine to easily lead the audience from blissful calm to thrashing extremity and all emotions in between. Really nice video and light effects, too. They make many other bands seem lazy and meaningless by comparison. Finally, an example of music for the new millenium. |

It sucks that Jay Bennett is gone, but that doesn't mean the band sucks, too. Wilco still makes great music. People are just upset because they were expecting Yankee Hotel Foxtrot II. What do you want, more of the same? I applaud bands for doing something different each album, and that's what Wilco does. They are a very talented band with a lot of outstanding albums ahead of them. Just because the direction they headed in was unexpected does not mean it is bad. In fact, I actually like it better than Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Yes, I said it! I think that album, while good, is a bit overrated. |
