This song sucks as much as the band. Who exhibited some of the worst music of the '80s.

Admire Elfman's film work, never "got" the band and hated that 80s New Wave "robot" style singing voice so many bands of that era employed.

Agreed, and, thankfully, it wasn't the one of the *other* songs we've already heard too much of.....

One thing I always thought was sad is that Danny Elfman stated at the end of the band's era (90's) that he HATED Oingo Boingo. I thought that was mean, considering how much $$ they made him!

This song doesn't affect me emotionally at all. It only irritates...makes the forehead scrinch-up. Voice is a little reminiscent of Elvis Costello.

This is quite possibly the least interesting Oingo Boingo song I've ever heard.

Which kind of makes it...interesting.

Oingo Boingo could be a nice change of pace for RP... just not this song. Dead Man's Party, Only A Lad, Weird Science, Wild Sex... hell even the Simpson's Theme all come to mind.

Could've been one of the better Bond theme parodies with a little more work.

Hey, this is really wierd. I have a really cool Oingo-Boingo t-shirt with "Dia des Muertes" (sp?) that I got from someone I met in france in '89. I had almost forgotten all about Oingo Boingo, when I bumped into them again here on RP.

The t-shirt was from someone close to Danny Elfman whom had come to france from LA to study the language for a few months.

Aaah, to be 19 again.

Yup. Ever since he did the theme to Pee Wee's Playhouse, Elfman's been doing movie & TV music.

There is a good anthology of his movie themes called "Music for a Darkened Theater" that's great if you dig his soundtrack stuff--it's probalby five years old now and he's done a ton of more movie stuff since then.

I think I even saw his name in the credits for "Desperate Houswives" for the music.

I like the original versions much better.

The Fixx did the same thing. They re-recorded an album of past hits. I don't understand why bands do this. Everyone knows and loves the originals.
