Is an aberration, like other similar experiments and attempts.  And, while not wanting to be blunt, is a waste of time in radio when there are so many songs and artists (worthy of the name!) that are on the shelf ....... a contradiction or lack of clarity (or the DJ is vacation)

My first response was... What the heck? Then once I realized what it was I thought, hey cool. Next, I found the song grew more and more annoying by the minute. Particularly some aspect of the percussion I found grating. It DID get my undivided attention, but not in a good way. This song got me wanting to comment, so I joined.  Generally I have been recommending this station to all my students, I use it for "background" music before class, and quite often a student will say "hey I love this song" and I get coolness points as a professor.

Hmmm...so will you also start playing John Lennon's "Imagine" mashed up with Van Halen's "Jump"?

WTF?  How can anyone deny the impact that the Beatles have had on modern music?  You can trace a line from every artist to a Beatles song without much effort.  They pretty much invented half the music out for the last 50 years.

Nor do I, but this mess of a smashup qualifies.

That was a jolt! Some mash-ups are monumental and others less so. This one's somewhere in the middle. Nonetheless, quite an imagination to even think of putting these two (plus a snippet from "Walrus") together.

In the words of Howard Cosell, "I may not always know what's good, but I always know what's lousy. That was a terrible mash up.

This combination doesn't do justice either of the components.

Nice work pulling an acappella out of Day In The Life though.  That's not easy!

I'll give it a 1 for inspiration and a 7 for craftsmanship, averaging to 4.

I am thinking that most people are just having a hard time wrapping their brains around this, you hear the music and expect Karma, you hear the vocals and think Day in the Life...

it's certainly befuddling and lifts itself out of background music and snaps you to attention.

Yes, is suppose it was an interesting idea, and it's been nicely executed.
Now please don't ever play that again.

Once a year would probably allow sufficient time to recover and suppress the memory, yes.

I would like to rate this "funny". Unfotunately it is not in the list and would probably be in another dimension that plain old 1-10 .

Now. yes. Go back a few decades, where you will find the former less metabolically challenged and the latter not yet conceived, and maybe you will get a different result.

It really is! And I'm not just sucking up Ha! {#Lol} They matched these songs up so well that this could have been a discarded Beatles alternate version, released may years later on an outtakes album.
