Apparently, a lot of people do not get that; sometimes a groove is a song.  This song is the way it is by design - the groove is the whole point.  I'm not sure why people expect every song to have the exact same components.

Not sure who came first, the American Analog Set or Pinback, but I do like this kind of sound. I've heard similar bands referred to as math rock. Definitely appeals to the nerd in me.
