Sounds good to me.  The only case for me in which the voice is so bad that it really matters much is Neil Young.  That guy cannot sing.

There is not one TH song that I like.  Not one.  His voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me. 
 I like Dylan, Waits, Neil Young and the like, but not Byrne. Don't know why.

David Byrne shares a common place with other great songwriters like Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan.

You kind of have to recognize how great the song writing is, even the performance.  But you can be forgiven for hating the voice.
